Gptheatre and indeed the whole of the doomportables domain may be going to expire soon and i do dnot know whether it is going to be renewed. So my question is how the hell am i gonna get 3gb plus webspace. It is already 3gb and grows in 100mb steps. What is tere for me to do. so soon it may be R.I.P gptheatre.

find a hosting company that has unlimited storage, get a quote and ask for donations.

What is the monthly bandwidth utilisation? I could host that much but I'm a bit dubious about the legality of some of the ripped content. I wouldn't be able to host much of what is up there currently, but anything solidly defined as PD should be ok.

the obly non legal things technically are trailers. I do not know the bandwidth required monthly but can assume it is a lot.
Heh, it's not like anyone's going to miss the trailers anyway.

i would love to but noone seeds they just sit there leecehign the whole time and because i end up with copyrighted stuff.
Find a tracker script that requires registration and tracks the share ratio, enforce it at 0.5 or even 1 since the files are small.

Moderate the submission process so all new torrents have to be approved first.

I would have suggested that, were it not for my inferior understanding of bittorrent trackers.
Also, I have a computer that sits around and does nothing but upload/download, so I can provide a seed to numerous files at a time. This is very much a possibility.

yes problem is my server (this pc) does seem to be being a bit annoying. THis is probably going to happen if gptheatre is not renewed and its a bloody miracle i got a tracker up let alone do anything with it.

Can I suggest you cycle the content on a monthly basis.

ie You keep a top ten for each category and then cycle in new content monthly. You can also have a full list of all that is available and a request email where people can ask for a specific title in the list that's not currently available for download. You could even put up a poll here for people to vote for the top 5 most requested files to be available again.

Just a thought and obviously the details would be up to you.
