Its kindof dissappointing to me, but I thought that there is/was some sort of genesis emulator for GP32... Is there such an emulator released (in any stage of developement)?

Theres fgen32 in development, and another one by ZJ, which was in development but never released

Yes, the emulator are in progress!!

Maybe they were submited for the 15day compo.

And maybe not :)

patience my son... unless something shitty happens, then this should happen in the near future (I'd guess within the next 6 months???)

cause it would be SUPER-ASS COOL!

That would be really cool. I really dislike snes, the games seem shallow and less artistic than (the better) of the genesis titles. Plus nintendo is the antichrist of handhelds, seemingly dooming all in the US to a premature death.

Thanks, hope the emu is working out!

There is also a third emulator which I am not allowed to disclose info on - just to let you know the Genesis development drive is currently bigger than the SNES one (even thought there are no products out yet).

The day that a Genesis emulator with full speed frameskip 0 with sound gets released, I will assign as a national holiday in my house.....ooooooooohhhhhhhhh I can't wait.

Do you think Sonic 3 with Sonic and Knuckles lock- on is possible, I know the rom exists but will it pose any problems?

A 3rd emulator in the works?!?

That's quite impressive, considering a few months back there was nearly nothing... And damn mysterious too! I wonder who's making it?

*Cue dramatic music*

Can't wait to see a fruit from all these loins, though :D

can't wait to see some good ol' genesis emulatin' either.
but I won't hold my breath, stop-and-go as this scene is

(that's not a complaint really, stop-n-go is much better than stop-n-deadddddd)

Yeah, stop-n-go eventually gets you there. And often results in lots of better quality stuff than the go go go mentality that's the other end of the spectrum. Although not always (see: Castaway :) )

Wow.

I was recently playing Mick and Mack on my Mega Drive emulater for the PC. The one sponsored by McDonalds! heh heh. I love the Mega Drive.

Who was it who said the SNES was shallow?! Thats teh best games console ever made!

But I do agree about the Nintendo/game Boy statement, even though I'm gonna get a gameboy player... ahem.

this is just a qoute which i think sums up emulation as a whole. it was a review of an old game on pczone (UK) on their emulation zone.

"All that remains is for you to turn to the Dark Side and find yourself a copy of the game ROM, no doubt destroying Nintendo's corporate structure in the process.
You evil fiend."

I also heard about another gen emu, not sure if its the same one rico was talking about though. HURRY DAMN YOU, I want to play the sonic games and super hydlide and skitchen and.......
