Adobe Buy Out Macromedia

have a look here

Not really game related, but interesting none the less. Adobe has just announced that it will be taking Macromedia over. What will become of macromedias products??!?!?

That's a shame, I quite like macromedia products, but not to keen on Adobe. I hope they don't make too many changes.

I should imagine they're going to phase out Freehand althogether, seeing as Illustrator is the market leader (hopefully they'll incorporate some of the features from freehand first though). I should also imagine they will make Flash more designer friendly. But we shall see...

I'm deseprately hoping this will be a positive thing but the phrases "microsoft and "monopolies" keep bouncing around my head

heh, I like flash. At least, when its well used I do.
