I just got my gp32 blu and tried to start it up on my mac. at first I got the normal start up screen and tried to install the software. then I saw that the software only works on windows. Now I turn on the gp32 and get only a blank screen, it lights up but there's nothing on it. what happened, what do I do? did i just turn my ten minute old console into crap?

Tell us in a little more detail exactly what you did.

EDIT:

What software was you using ?.
What software did you copy (or try to copy) to the GP32 ?.
How did you get the software over to the GP32, Via a card reader, Using the usb cable ?.

What used to be displayed on the GP32`s screen when you switched it on, Before all this happened ?.

Btw: Try holding the select button on the GP32 when you switch it on and see if you get a text menu.

I used the gp32 blu install cd that came with the unit, using the usb cable. The display was the menu for pc link or game.

And you say all you get now when you switch on you GP is a blank screen ?.
If so, Then thats not good.

Re: The blank screen.
Have you tried different/fresh batteries or maybe a mains adaptor (remember to use the correct type, 3 volt, at least 500mA and the polarity is CENTRE NEGATIVE per the diagram on the base of the GP32 near the power socket).

Let us know what happens.

1) What happens if you hold the select buttom when switching the GP on ?.

2) The GP32 Blu install CD you got with your unit doesn`t come with every GP32 as standard.

3) Is it possible for you to post the name of the program you ran from this cd.

4) If nothing happens when you perform no.1 above, Then it is very likely you have a dead/broken GP, But can not be really sure unless you can answer no.3 above.

Btw, I thought you said that you realised that the software was for windows, But you say you have a mac, How did you run said software ?.

Anything you might add that maybe of help.

I don`t know what else to suggest, But it sounds dead/broke to me.

Maybe you should contact the seller and request a refund, Unless someone here can suggest something.
