ok all i need is a abit of help...

i'v put the new lynx emu on my gp32 and afew games with it, strangely when i boot it up it says that i dont have a boot rom... what is it??? how can i get it??? what shall i do???

any help would be much appreciated :)

do a search on google for: "lynxboot.img"

It is basically an operating system and is therefore required to boot. Read the instructions about where to put the file and whether to rename it or not.

Easy.

Personally Lynx emulation runs fine with no sounds as the sound quality is very crappy plus most of the games aren't that great when other emulators have much better versions such as Todd Adventure in Like world for Genesis run perfect on DR. MD with full speed and sound.
Plus the menu's for save states are not that innovative.
Unless you re a hardcore fan of Lynx its just not worth he space on my SMC.
B)

What a stupid thing to post. Why would you try to dissuade somebody from trying to run an emulator that they obviously want to try? If you don't want to play lynx games then fine, but there's no need to put a put other people off, is there?

saintdragon - the lynx emulator is excellent - once you've got the boot rom, you'll be well pleased...

I am just saving some one the time and trouble that I wasted and went through.

Every one is entitled to speak their mind. If we all thought narrow minded like you do then every one would think you like and nothing would get done.
So by attacking me and syaing your post is stupid, just amkes you look like a dumb ass as you don't have any thing better to say.

If you said what I said that for die hard core fans then it is fine. If some one wnats to run it and then find out they can get the same games wiht better graphics to run better why would they waste their time unless they are a fan. If you look at the readme file for the emulator even th auther talks about how the emulation probably will nebver be great at ful speed with sound for the GP32.

If you think the Lynx emulator is great go wiht it, I prespect what you are saying, even though you didn't by syaing my post was dumb, you are not respecting what I have to say.

Now if you disagree which you do that is fine.

Think next time before you just make blind statements wiht nothing to back it up!

Quiest,
I would try:

Chip's Challenge
Gates of Zendecon
Klax
Road Blasters
Stun Runner
Todd's Adventures in Slime World
Warbirds
Xenophobe

tatooman,

That is your opinion -- my opinion is that Todd's Adventure was shit on the Megadrive, the Lynx version is much better. I personally think that the Lynx emu was a good addition to the GP32 collection.

Why don't you just play all the games for us on all systems and then tell us which ones meet your standards? That would save us all wasting a lot of time...

I didn't make any statement, apart from the fact that you post was stupid, which I then backed up with a question to you as to why I thought it was stupid.

Now that's what I call a blind statement with nothing to back it up...

Quiest - I would also recommend Scrapyard Dog, Joust and (my favourite) Rampart - all of which run a reasonable speed, with reasonable sound...

Praise the mighty Lynx emulator, oh yes praise Lynx!!!!!

"Must play Lynx, yes"

I can feel the mind control now!!!!!!

LMAO!!!!!!!

I can't understand the mentality of people like this. It's a free emulator for a system that some people want to use, for fuck sake! Nobody is forcing you to use it. What gives you the right to start taking the piss and suggesting that people shouldn't bother downloading it just because you didn't like it?

It makes me laugh that you can quite happily piss all over somebody elses work in this thread, yet in another thread you are practically begging somebody else to write an app. just for you because it would be "extremly usefull for the GP32 community", apparently. I see you got a whole bunch of people backing you up on that one...

!!! you could cut the tension with a knife!!!!

ok thanks allot people, iam gonna use the emu anyway for reasons such as it is great. :)

also i appreciate all of you sharing your oppinions, but come it doesnt have to turn into a arguement... so make up and be friends!!! :)

you guys are the best!!!
