Yep, there written with capitals.

And the movie is called "Das Boot" because its about a submarine, which is "U-Boot" in german, but they just called it "Das Boot" :D (it plays on a boat)

We also have die the tool that is used to rethread and theread bolts pipe and any thing along thoes lines, all so they are used with taps which i bet ypu can guess their use thats right for threading nuts and holes in metal and other materials.
