Call me stupid but i can't get space quest3 or larry2 or anything else to work!!
You're gonna need to be more specific than that. Did you manage to get them listed in the menu?

Are there any games which don't really require a chatboard?
There's a virtual keyboard built-in so a chatboard is not required, but I personally wouldn't play without one. The only two currently supported games which don't involve lots of typing are Hoyle Book of Games Vol 1 and 2, but they are rather sluggish on GP32.

Ok, to be more specific!
- Download freesci for the gp32 from the retrovg. com site.
- I loaded the freesci.fxe on my gp32,
- Then i loaded the games (lsl2, sq3) on it.
I know that the folders have to be called just like the game names.
- After that I created a readme file, called it config
and wrote this into it:
[sq3]
resource_dir=dev0:\gpmm\sq3

[lsl2]
resource_dir=dev0:\gpmm\lsl2
- Loaded the config file into the folder freesci (there is only this file in it, isn't it?)
- Then i started freesci.fxe (using the slubFW)

There I can see the freesci start window where i have to choose the game.
But there is nothing is this list! When i press play it resets.. <_<
Where is the error?

One thing you must be very careful with is that windows doesn't automatically add the .txt extension. Turn on the option in explorer to display all file extensions to make sure that hasn't happened.

Looks good to me. My freeSCI config looks the same (plus BLU+ config entry).
Stupid question: Did you put the config file into \gpmm\freesci and not into \freesci?
And yes, it is the only file till you make a save game.

How to understand this?
Do you mean that there mustn't be a txt extension
or that there have to be a txt extension??

No .txt extension, just a config file it's a file without any sort of extension at all.

As for the sound problem your experiencing nem, give the computer version a try and see if it does the same, I know that SQ3's sound turns on and off all through the game but it also does it on the dos version (0.33 oe whatever) so it's the main freesci code not his port.

Yeah!
ThX!! the extension was the problem!
Space Quest 3 works! sometimes a bit slow but
its ok. You can let the guy run faster in the options.

But I can't play LS Larry 2(edit)
I don't have the numbers anymore.
Damn copy protection!

EDIT: is it possible to play Leisure Suit Larry 5?
that would be great because i thing i have still the copy protection key.

EDIT again: I just tryed Hero Quest but it doesn't work...
when i choose the game in the freesci system then the gp32 restarts.

I think you mean LSL2. LSL3 doesn't have copy protection (at least not at the beginning of the game).

Anyway, Al Lowe (creator of the Larry series), has a section on his website about the age questions and copy protections. You can find it here: http://www.allowe.com/Larry/cluescheats.htm. Btw, all Sierra fans should have a look at the entire site. It's a good read and contains lots of background info on the games, etc.

Not yet. Support for newer games is in progress but won't be done anytime soon.

If it's the Hero Quest that's the same game as Quest for Glory 1, it should work. You can easily check whether a game is a SCI game by looking for the file 'RESOURCE.MAP'.
