Actually i thought the same thing one month ago, but the goddamn video codec of the PSP is crappy, You need at least 300MB per hour or else the Video will look ugly. :(
So, i´ll buy a second one if they get a bit cheaper in germany

@Fishbong, where have you found here in Germany is the cheapest?

For Uk buyers (and anyone willing to pay postage

MyMemory

For PSP , and

here

for ridiculously cheap SD cards. I mean, 2gigs for £114.

Although I am sure you all know cheaper places.....?

Just ordered mine from here today, £68.80 including guaranteed next day delivery.
(could have got it for about £63.00 if I was patient enough to wait for the standard delivery)

Not a bad price considering my mate bought 1 from E-Bay for £62.00, waited over a week then ended up getting a refund cause it was "stuck in customs"

EDIT: forgot to mention that I popped into my local Jessops to check their prices before I ordered, they wanted a staggering £115.99 for a Sandisk 1 gig stick!!!

How can UK retailers justify this extortionate price?

CHRIST memory sticks are expensive! Well, I guess that's the price you pay for proprietary (or ex in this case) media.

Ebay can be cheap, but be careful not to fall for rip-off auctions which charge £££ shipping. This happens a LOT with HK based memory retailers.

There is a newish scam on ebay. Chinese scammers are buying (often German) or nicking ebay identities of people, and then scamming them. For instance, there was a palm life drive, a few minutes to go a couple of hundred euros. Twas a chinaman. If it's too good to be true, it ALWAYS is.

Apart from me, of course. I am just adorable.

my father has bought something from ebay, except the guy wont take paypal as he says its unsafe in his email  so he wants a bank wire, funny thing is there were like 5 chinks playing on the pool table as soon as we walked into the pub later on too.

There goes his money.

i dont get it

w/e u guys can think what u want. I deal with ebay everyday, and i have single handedly gained 234 feedback, something like 231 or so being positive.

Only got ripped off maybe 6-7 out of those 234 transactions.

pay more if you want, but ebay is really the place to buy inexpensive memory

Sorry, but being chinese myself I find that term offensive (not racist but offensive). Kindly change it please.

I agree the part about eBay and sellers from HK considering the amount of counterfeit goods that used to be there. The other problem is that they can really clutter up the listings as well.

that remark was racist in my eyes. Totally pathetic. Coming from someone who lives in south wales, i think they need to keep quiet.

lets hope this doesnt turn into a 600 page thread again

So would it be better getting the card from a US Based seller??? the HK guy does have 41,000 + Feedback and 99.1% Positive and seems to deal alot in Memory and Cameras.

Only thing that Pisses me off is the £15 Postage and £15 insurance !! :p

hey, if u think it pisses u off, try someone like me in the UNITED STATES! :(

yes, the price can be steep, but if your good at bargain hunting (like me :D ), then you'll get a great deal. i bought my 1gb mem stick duo for meh psp and paid like 110 w/ shipping included....and this happened a month after the psp launch when prices on mem chips were astronomical.

to sum things up, if you know what your doing, ebay is God. otherwise, you'll get ripped off again, and again, and again.

I say go for the hong kong seller. If you search around ebay, you may find a "submit best offer", which is how i got my 1 gb chip. good luck

But I really fancy getting a life drive....

BTW that Harry Potter and the Pyschic Serpent is very good! Almost fineished it, but it's so long....
