I have Kingston 1GB and Sandisk 1GB SD cards. When I load up my Kingston 1GB, Frodo loads and works. When I load up my Sandisk 1GB, gp2xnes loads and works. The other way around, simply won't work. Am I going crazy? I thought Sandisk 1GB was one of those compatible SD cards... Any idea would be appreciated.

Also, when I run install_libs.gpu, shouldn't it delete itself?

No it shouldn't

Try looking at it in a text editor on your computer, it is just a script to copy files.

I suppose it could delete itself, but so far only *.img files are deleting.

Edit: test > text

Have you also noticed that if you swap out SD card while GP2x is on, it doesn't recognize the change? I guess, the firmware loads up the directory and never bother checking it again or something. Oh well, I hate to bitch about stuffs. On the bright note, at least, I'm enjoying AeroFighter and MetalSlug. :)

Well, as far as GP use linux (I mean GP2X),
I already noticed it and understood that it can not recongnize the swapped sd card, cause we do not have proper 'mounting' function.

I know decent linux distros have auto-mount feature, but I highly doubt it can be applied on GP2X directly.

Not 100% sure but i was always taught never to change memory cards when the device is on. Could be just something i've stuck to over the years and 5 years ago it might have been wrong to do it but perhaps now you can ??

I have a Pocket PC and that always told me to turn the device off first before you swap over the memory card etc ? Be cool if you could just take out the memory card though.

Aero Fighter works on NeoCD? Have to try it asap :D

A lot more than just Aero Fighters 2 and Metal Slug work now. There's a compatibiity list in another thread and on the wiki somewhere.

Edit: Disregard please. The above post provided the exact same info in more depth than I did.

gp2x instructions state that we should turn off the gp2x whenever we switch sd cards But it does work okay for me when switched on.

Although i have problems using 1gb sandisk ultra 2 cards but no problems using any MMC card i have thrown at it.

Automount is there, it just doesn't work very well ;). I think by the sounds of things it works better on the dev boards but GPH broke something in the release kernel when they were rushing to fix other bugs.

So here's my question. Do you think it'd be possible to code a utility (not unlike the libs installer) to dismount the SD then remount it? This just pure conjecture, but just wanted to pose a question.
