Hey guyz it's me again ( yes that annoying kid with the viscious smiley face) this time I have an all new problem that I haven't seen alot lately I have all the features on my GP2x working and yeah but the problem is I've tried all different battery brands but they all seem to runout in an half hour even if I'm just using MP3! Can someone help me?

Confused

P.S. I'm out of money so I cant buy a rechargable pair

i dotn think batteries are the problem; as far as i know there is currently a problem with the GP2X that causes it to use full battery power no matter what you are doing. hopefulyl it will be fixed soon, but until then you will need a LOT of batteries or some rechargables.

I'm sorry, but then you're out of luck. Regular batteries won't cut it no matter what brand you buy, and you'll be saving quite a bit of money going rechargeable in the long run.

Must. . . . find . . . 25 . . . hundred . . . .milliamp . . . . Nimh . . . . . batteries

we dinna hae nae mor powrrr

I use the 2500mah energizer nimh I bought at Sam's club for $20

8 batteries and an 8hour charger. a good deal. I shudder to think how much you spent on alkalines and li-ion(I hope not, they're hideously expensive.)

sure are, at full power minus the draw of the lcd and backlight, which is probably almost half the total draw of the system

triton, off topic, your avatar looks like it is about to burn a hole through my soul with its evil mind powers.

Well, that or commit suicide out of sheer depression

What is it?

Mine is just an insane robot laughing crazily

wasn't this battery problem a software issue, or is this something else?

yes please people can we get back to the topic so I'd be better off buying a rechargable pair and removing the batteries true when not in use true?

I'm also considering of buying dc adapter.

Sorry I had too.

5 hours 26 minutes That's the time my GP2x runs with full 2600mAh Varta PHOTO. I couldn't try anything though, but the GP2x uses both cores at 200mhz anyway, no matter what you do :)

lol why did you leave it on for 5 hours 26 minutes then? And how did you time it for that long while not doing anything...
