i cant get duke3d 0.2 to work! Tried with the wiki CFG, with the atomic .CON and the files that came with the zip, none of them work. when i load the game in the pc, i get the duke atomic edition, so i guess this is the version i have. Could the problem be in the .GRP file?

What version do you have? I am running full version 1.3d and it works fine.

I also tried the atomic version, and that didn't work for me so I dug out this older version and it works.

Explain exactly what you have done, and what you see on the screen. All versions should now work, so as long as you have all the needed files in the correct location and none of them are corrupt then you shouldn't be having any problems.

Mittens: Both atomic versions work without problem. Have you tried the latest version? 1.5 was broken in 0.01 but fixed in 0.02

Woogal, mine was v1.99 and that didn't work. I didn't see that on your list of compatible versions though. All I get is a black screen, but v1.3d works perfect!

1.99? what the hell is that? The only official versions of Duke3D are 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5. I've heard of 1.7 which is some unofficial hack, but 1.99 isn't anything that seems to exist anywhere. It certainly isn't official which is probably why it doesn't work (I only support the official versions as anything else is probably an illegal download).

Not sure where I got it from but dug it out out of my archives... I know it's weird, I never heard of v1.99 before either... It's got all these extra mods with it.. a whole stack of them.

check if you downloaded the config file that you remove the .txt and rename it to duke3d.cfg from duke3d.cfg.txt

remove the demo files .dmo?

you need the .cfg, .grp .con files and the .gpe only

I have a few ideas. First, make sure you have full battery life. Duke did that to me on a low battery before. Also, once in the game, make sure you are using the 'A' button and not the 'B' button to go through the menus.
