Hi Peeps,

This is my 1st post. havent had the need to post before as everything ive needed to know has been covered :) (only being a newbee myself)

The problem im getting is ive only been able to get audio with the cable so far.
(No video just a blue screen (on AV)

i got all the cables needes (extension and the s-vhs to composite adaptor)

i first tried just plugging the 3 jacks into the front of the video (i normally use this method on my mini-dv camcorder so i know it works.

after no luck i used the composite to scart adaptor off my xbox. (This is when i discovered i can get audio)

dont know if this helps but when i turn the gp2x on it says firmware 1.2.1 (but is that enough to proove it actually IS the correct firmware????)

And just as a sidenote when i select 'Tv-Out' it doesnt seem to do anything????
should it???

i think ive covered everything but if more information is needed please ask...

Cheers everybody and hope to be of help to other folk in the future (once i get upto speed myself!!!) :p

TV out.

Main Menu.

Go to settings.

Select TV mode either NTSC or PAL.

Press "B".

Your LCD will now go black.

Make sure you have your TV set to the correct AV channel. My connects through AV-3.

You should now have sound and vision.

Just remember not every application has been optimised to work with TV out yet.

:)

Which firmware are you using Wizza? Older firmwares do not support Tv-Out function.

im starting to wonder if it is a firmware issue.

when i 'bootup' it says says 1.2.1 but im starting to wonder if it really is.

is this possible!!!????

Can you check you info screen though just to make sure that the utilities for firmware 1.2.1 have been installed.

It should say version 1.2.1

Did you get into the TV out screen?

Even you update the kernel, if you don't apply the patches Tv-Out and other functions will not work. There are 2 steps:

1. Firmware update for kernel
2. Apply patch for applications such as TV-Out, MPlayer, Picture viewer etc.

Apply the patches and it will work.

to do this go to utils from main menu and run the gpu file in the root of your sd card that came with the firmware.
