This thing crashes all over the place. Any ideas to get it more stable?

Cannot open roms, some work and then dont, constant freezes.

I want to play Wonder Boy 3

The SMS emu is not very stable or compatible. I'm sure it was a choice by the author to get it out a.s.a.p, even if it doesn't always work.

The possibility of Master System/gamegear emulation was one of the main reasons I bought a gp2x, so I really hope it improves. It's playable atm but some games are a bit flakey and the speed could be improved I think.

Reesy had an AWESOME one on the Gp32. If he doesn't want to port it maybe some other l337 coder can ask for the source and do it. It is worth porting because it was full speed with full sound and great compatibility at a very low clock speed due to it being in ASM.

I agree, Master System on the GP2x is an essential need and I hope that the author keeps up the good work. If he's havin problems there are loads of devs who might be willing to lend a hand.

Anyways, the ball is rolling.

Where is Reesy, anyway? He doesn't seem to have posted in ages.

I remember he said that he was getting an Xbox 360. I guess he is playing that.

Are you saying he's went to the dark side? :)

Allan.

He`s probably having a well deserved rest/break putting his feet up, Playing Xbox 360 or just getting on with real life in general.

I agree, drsms was amazing imo and i would love to see it ported. I'd donate :D

It shouldn't take him long to do. He already has experience in porting as he ported DrMD fairly quick. It would probably take him a few hours to do. He has to want to do it though. If he doesn't maybe he could give the source out?

MEKA is a REALLY nice emulator for windows, and while I think it might be a stretch, there IS source code available for download on the downloads page, and there's GNU Linux versions available for download as well.

http://www.smspower.org/meka

Aside from being for SMS and GG, it also plays Colecovision really well, and SG-1000/3000 and a couple others I've never heard of.

I'd take a crack at porting it, but I wouldn't know what to do first, what to change, or even what I was looking at, and I'm sure you'd want something that worked.
