Ok so I'm waiting for my GP2X in the mail. With ac adaptor, cap, 2gb sd card, sd card writer, tv out, and rechargable batteries it ran me to about $360. I could have gotten a used psp 1.5 for $200 and a 2gb memory stick for $100. PSP can play movies, has rechargable battery built in, has more power for emulators, is going to get a psx emulator, it also has commercial games and movies and has a decent scene, and wireless. On the downside the screen size for emulators suck and there is the blurring thing and you have to reencode movies. Did I make the right choice getting a gp2x? please convince me...

yes mate you did, the gp2x plays movies WAYY better than the psp, plays music the same ^-^, will be able to play the same games as the psp on 1.5 plus yoyu can ALWAYS update.

I like the screen on the gp2x more caz its not blurry and is the correct aspect ratio for movies and games, but when i updates i got wierd wavy lines on the screen and a white line down the left hand side (dunno y i got this) but it was fine on version 1.2

But i likme almost everything about the gp2x more than i liked the psp and you made a good choice mate.

I'll definitely agree with that. It's good knowing that there are a bunch of people here waiting to help eachother (unlike those guys at GPH who never give you tech support) You guys are great. I feel a lot better about ordering the GP2X.

I think the best thing to stick on the front of the GP2X would be "THERE IS AN EXTRA LAYER ON THE SCREEN PROTECTOR. PULL IT OFF. BITCH ABOUT IT AND WE WILL COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND MURDER YOU."

Heh!

But yes, you made the right decision ... don't be so insecure ;)

My screen (the one which I was supposed to glue on) was already "averagely" scratched from transport (probably)... so they should probably just glue it on themselves and put the protective layer on that. Why protect just the LCD when you can protect both? :/

AAAAH! NOT AGAIN!!!

There is another layer on the screen protector. Pick at the corner and it will come off. The layer is scratched, not the screen protector.

*deep breath*
