Ive been toying with the idea of picking one of these up for a long time. I still have my original NES and a Gameaxe so its not a priority, but its still damn neat. Too bad it seems like its incompatible with Castlevania 3.. Ive heard its more of an emulator-on-a-chip rather than a hardware clone, and that some sounds are a little off. But other than that everyone seems to be happy with them.

I actually just ordered a set of Messiahs wireless SNES controllers from lik-sang, since they are on sale for the dirt cheap price of $25. http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=6344&

Good to hear. Im a little bit of an SNES fan :D If the quality is good on them, im going to really consider getting the nes package with the wireless controllers.. when the come off backorder of course.

The NEX took a real hammering over at nesdev, but those guys are pretty hardcore. The colours aren't right, compatibility isn't great, and the sounds are a bit off too apparently. It's basically the same as those shitty $10 Famiclones that you find around the place, except in a really nice case :)

The wireless controllers are supposed to be good though.

I have a GameAxe which I've been using for import famicom games. Compatability on that seems damn good (even plays Akumajo Densetsu perfect). I may get the NEX, and if I'm not happy with it, install the GameAxe guts in the case. Well, depending on if the wireless compontent is built into the NEX motherboard or not.

My wireless SNES controllers came in yesterday, so how about a mini review. My first impression, was that the directional stick was waaaay to sensitive. The start/select touch buttons are a little hard to press, but ok. The ABXY buttons are light touch also, but i liked those. LR buttons feel like original buttons.

After playing various games for about 2 hours though, i really started to like it. You just have to get used to how easy it is to hit directions. I was flying through Super Mario World in no time. Super Metroid is great. Street Fighter Zero 2 was most impressive. I found that it was super easy to pull off moves. Much easier than a d-pad in fact. They are not as well made as original controllers, but the packaging was nice. Overall im happy with them, and will be using them as my main SNES controllers from now on.

whoa. the bloody nerve on them!

That comment was from memory. I got my snes controllers from them 40 shipped about 6 months ago, and checked around a month back as I was interested in the nes ones. They changed the price! Quite a bit may I add.

fuck. :(

edit: perhaps lik sang will get them back in soon at a lesser price. hopefully.
