which can all be done on a pc, except DOA and there are more online games on PC.

Since graphics cards started costing serious money, and Microsoft has a 6 year old OS. PC gaming sucks compared to the console market. Oh and everything is online. I'd rather play with the person next to me(You know what I mean  )

Seriously what kind of answer is expected from this poll. Brand buying at best.

Next generation console gaming is a mess. I hope everyone is as confused as me. It should be exiting...but I'm not; next generation gaming just costs too much; too much "oh no more" franchises.

I will buy a PS3 if its is a cheap supercomputer running linux, which I doubt, but then it would be my desktop PC.
I will be buying a nintendo if the contoller allows me to play ultra violent games, Using 2 contollers as Uzi's while yelling "You like apples", but I wont its Nintendo (Bad Fur day was a one off).
I would have bought a 360 if it was an X-box2 and just a glorified PC inside which allowed chipping fun, large hard drives, media center fun, emulation and linux etc etc a la x-box, which it isn't.

I suspect If I was buying now. I would get a mini-itx http://www.mini-itx.com/ and have a belting stepmania, retro gaming PVR. I suspect when I buy in a years time, when the dust has settled on next-gen consoles that is what I will be buying.
pff. good luck with that.

Just face it: Gaming will never be all that you want and demand. The "golden years" are over so-to-speak, and this is what remains. take it or leave it.

360 has better graphics than my PC.. and even though the graphics card in my pc is just a 6800 GT its not that bad. of course i will probably get atis r600 when its released later this year which will likely pass both ps3 and 360 :D . Anyways, you got to think to yourself also.. is it worth spending 400+ odd quid on a new card or buy a console which can be as good?, until a new gfx card comes out that is.

i dunno why people are calling the 360 a xbox 1.5, thats total bs.. and i suggest their either sony fanboys who only like the ps3 and not any other console, or they are playing it on a normal tv which isnt high def, it makes all the difference. Plus ur forgetting most of the games have gotten over 8.0 and some over 9.0 in reviews, the machine has only been out like half a year.. i bet PS3 will be the same, having MGS 3 as its killer game scoring over 9.0 like the 360 did with oblivion.. u cant expect EVERY game to get like a 9.5 <_<

sure the ps3 has its diskspace, and i think it will only benefit past 8gb half way through the systems lifespan, at least.. Wait until we can rip ps3 games to our PC, i bet they wont even use half of that so called 25gb, for cutscenes yes.. for anything else? i doubt it

Well, oblivion's lag proved to be too much even with the miracle app OLDblivion which suddenly made my video card compatible. I think i may enjoy the game though.....just not now.

I suppose ill save my $ until more games come out that I want.

thanks :(

Oblivion has lag on the XBox 360 too., occasionally (when you enter a new area, etc)It is strange really, as I am sure here was a time when this kind of thing was unacceptable on a console.

well, moving the mouse and then waiting 2-3 seconds to see any movement on the screen, followed by a random jolt too far in the worng direction, etc is WAY too much. It takes like 6 seconds to land a hit on an enemy.....

I almost was killed by a rat for God sakes!!!

Wait wait wait? Lag on a console? That is horrible. The Devs should have optimized it more. Considering unlike a PC, all 360's are the same, so if there is lag on one, there is lag on all. Its so much easier to polish a game on a console.

no, they are not all the same, the premium haves a ahrddrive, smoother "level" transitions, on core you have loading times evry 10 steps.
Anyway, on my pc there is next to no load time, way better than on a xbox, and i get solid fps as well.
