it seems people are still developing all the snes emulators off of a snes9x which seems like it has been updated in a really long time. there is still development of zsnes for pc, and recently a guy created one called zsnexbox for the same system in its name. he used a few settings that he thought would work the best, and i have never seen snes games run just like the originals did on an snes, until i tried it. it is amazing. why isn't anyone trying to port zsnes to gp2x? it seems like it would be ideal, nothing like playing star ocean perfectly on zsnexbox. thoughts?

its only a single 700 celeron. snes9x always took more resources than zsnes, i used to ran zsnes on a 400mhz computer and snes9x wouldn't even get close to running. i think that is a misconception.

Zsnes has lots of Intel assembly, and no one in their right mind wants to rewrite that much hand-coded asm for the ARM platform.

zsnes was good but the original guy quit the project and someone else took it over as a work in progress and i gets updated alot. alot of the snes stuff seems to be moving to zsnes based. i was just curious. i just thought that considering i never saw snes9x run perfect on anything that maybe zsnes would be an option. its to bad if it is that hard to put it on gp2x. i think we could have gotten better results.

i heard the one on xbox was reprogrammed, they said he did alot of work, so i guess not very likely to get ported, but i can dream.

Xbox is still Intel x86. No comparison to ARM, really.

you realy dont have to change much to "port" something from pc to xbox, couse its basicialy a pc without a full blown windows, through you can run linux and run the normal linux applications out of the box.
