What am I doing wrong? Do I need to create a folder for the save files? Whenever I try to save a state on the emulator the file appears in the root directory yet when I try to load it nothing shows up. What gives?

Not sure what your problem is... I suggest checking the options menus for directories.

On a similar note... I can('t) seem to use normal SRM saves in Chron(o) Trigger... anything that could cause this?

EDIT: The stuff in brackets is where I corrected m typos... I should try to type slower...

You can or you can't? If you can then it's nothing unusual as you're supposed to be able to. If you can't then it's kinda normal as well, because the preferred method to saving is using states. I think it's got something to do with the way it interupts to save the modified rom to the SD, this can take a long time sometimes (like over a minute), so may not be done before you turn your gp2x off.

Some of this info might be slightly off, i rember squidge talking about this in a thread a while ago. Anyway, the end result was that you shouldn't rely on in-game saves as they may not work properly.

@Rocksteady: Sounds like a weird problem. Maybe try re-installing a new download?

Edit: Whoops, I misread that post. Totally redundant information alert!

The states go in the same directory as the location of the .gpe. I really have no idea why it doesn't work for you. Which release are you using?

Well SRM saves work fine for me on most other games (I think there was another I was having issues with but not so bothered.)

I AM borthered about Chrono Trigger, since I want to continue with my current SRM save from ZSNES... But it doesn't want to save or load any SRM at all it seems.

Edit.. solved my Chono Triger prob... I used NSRT to strip the header, and that did the trick.
