Psx4gp2x Beta Testers Thread

PalmOS/Zodiac version is here, just getting tested across different models. Meanwhile I've added some optimizations to the GPU too which CAN be used in the GP2X :)

are your optimizations already part of the coming public beta?
what specific optimiziations have you implemented (speed up or compatibility)?
when is the dynarec applicable?
why are you no guru?? (I think you have earned it!)

Not to rush you guys, but any idea when the public release/next beta will be available?
I'm eager to see how this thing runs.

I'm using complete CD images ( excluding Ridge Racer Revolution ) :) .

BTW. I'll add this test

Dead Or Alive NTSC ( ISO ) :

OC : 250
VSYNC : x
FPS : x Game crashes GP2X on load success.
INTERLACE : 0
PROGRESSIVE : OFF
UC_PSX : No changes

Sad, but one never knows...

This is all very sweet. I can't wait until the new version is released, and hopefully it will support sound and play FFVII at a decent speed. Maybe in the release after that we'll get VIII and IX working just as well, eh? Heheh.

Here are the games I'd like to play most...

- Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX
- Grandia
- Silent Hill
- Parasite Eve 1 and 2
- Unholy War
- Resident Evil 2 and 3
- Tekken 2 and 3

...and other stuff I've forgotten. Most of these games are heavy ones though. ^^

I tried that too, but I had problems ripping the game to ISO, so wasn't sure if the ISO was even working... Quess not. No jiggle. :(

My ISO (also my dat-file) of dead Or Alive run well on epsxe, but not on the gp2x. I have tested different settings in several programms, no success. <_< I think in the new beta it must run. (improved compatibility!!) :D

Right, this will be all for now, it's time to rest.

I might have missed something, but has anyone tried "Hogs of War"?
I would try it myself but I don't have psx4all, I don't have the disk (it's at my Aunt's house) and I'm not as pain-loving as X-Code.

Tactics Ogre
OC : 240
FPS : 15
Default Settings
Playable!

Diablo
OC : 240
Shows first screen and then crashes

Front Mission 3
OC: 240
Shows menu, intro movie, but then crashes.

I'll be testing GTA2, Tenchu: Stealth Assassin, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Intelligent Cube when I get a chance. If I can find my damn X-Com disk, I'll test that, too. I'm looking forward to the update!
