Hi All! I am new to GP2X and this is my very first post on this forum. I didn't even know anything like GP2X or GP32 existed. I saw the post today at work and immediately fell in love with it. I am placing my order tonight, however I had a couple of questions and I would be grateful if somebody could clarify those hopefully soon, so that I can place my order quickly :D.

1) On the website I saw two different casing for GP2X. I prefer the black is there anyway I can make sure I get the black one?

2) I'm leaving for vacations for a bit around the 18th and would like to know that If I ordered my GP2X today is there any chance I could get it before the 18th so that I can take it with me?

I am so excited I am shaking. heheh

Thanks All.

1. There is only black. The white ones are prototype
2. Maybe. If they are in stock.

Too late:D

wow that was a quick reply! Thanks. I havent ordered yet. I am in the U.K. and I plan to order from the gp2x.co.uk website.

Sounds like me when I found the little fucker. I had just made a post on Something Awful in a thread about your 'dream console'.. I put that I wanted something that was small and GBA-like in terms of control, had an ARM9 processor, a decent amount of RAM, took SD cards or CF or something else very universal-- ideally SD .. had a color LCD of at least 65k colors and 320x240, and some form of 2D acceleration.

The reply was a link to the GP2X. You can uh, imagine my reaction. I was in little fits of joy thinking of things to develop for it.

Cool! Just ordered one. Now all I have to do is wait and hope that it gets here in time

In the meantime, read up on all the neat things and how to do everything once it arrives :D Download the excellent GP2XUserGuide from the archive.

Also make sure you have good quality 2500mAh NiMH rechageable AA batteries ready (the ones you get with it will run out very quickly), and a nice SD card!

You are going to love it! I actually ordered my *second* unit today. Nope, nothing wrong with the first one...just want an extra! :)

When I first saw the GP2X, it was from all the reading/posting I did on here when I was researching/ buying/ owned the GP32.

I first stumbled upon the GP32 when I was researching how to build my own portable NES, to go with an idea I had. Suddenly I saw an article that said the GP32 as a related article and bingo.
