ok i think im gonna get a gp2x mk2
so with the gp2x can it play psp homebrew
i mean can i use the emulaters that i have on my psp and use them on a gp2x
like eboots

It's a GP2X ... it can play GP2X homebrew, but since there's no PSP emulator, then no, it can't play PSP homebrew.

Did you actually think before posting this, or was it an involuntary impulse, like a muscle spasm?

omg internet1

Just to let you in on a little secret...

PSP is not a GP2X. So whatever runs on the PSP does not run on the GP2X (for the same reason whatever is on the GP2X does not run on the PSP).

You can't use the SAME emulators but you can use the same roms. You can get an equivalent emu on the GP2X and use all of your old ROMs.

There are emulators for the GP2X ... and they're a lot easier to use than the smoke & mirrors routines used to trick the PSP into running them ;)

Do some research, read the stickies and FAQs. You'll be glad you did.

Get a GP2X, you will be able to run all the roms that you had for your PSP emulators, but you will not be able to emulate the PSP itself or it's games ( where's the problem??? )... There are emulators for many machines, Sega, Nintendo, Atari ST, Amiga, Spectrum, Commodore, Amstrad, NeoGeo, Playstation ( PSX / PS1 [ under construction ] ) and others ( my memory is slightly scrambled this morning ), there is also a load of homebrew development going on and to make things EVEN MORE fun, an insane community to support it...

Just read through the news section B)

Regards,

X-Code

Edit : Cleared it up a little more

Oh no! We must not ever let NOOBS into our inner sanctum of leetness! They could desecrate the holy shrine of Elitism! Our God, Arro-Gahnt, will be most enraged! Think what awful things could happen if we actually *ick* helped the lowly n00bs and allowed them to gain access to our vastly superior knowledge of handhelds!

I was brought up to believe that there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. That, sir, is a very stupid answer. Would you say that to his face? Try to apply common courtesy when you post online. Those wires that separate you from him are no excuse to act like a turd.

Sorry, I might have been harsh here. Don't consider this an attack on YOU, but rather an attack on every last arrogant sod on the web. Plus you.

In conclusion. Be helpful toward those with less knowledge of a certain thing, not disparaging. They probably know a thousand things you don't.
