I have an mp3 player that can record music/voice onto a smart media card.
I believe the file structure is a standard FAT16/FAT32 on it.

Can the gp32 read it directly, or does it expect a gp32 specific file structure?

Thanks!
Erich

What is the name of your MP3 player? It sounds cool. I wish the GP32 could record MP3.

I think the GP32 reads a Fat 12/16 file structure. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Even if the GP32 could read the card directly, I dought the GP32 would be able to play the recorded voice/music as most if not all mp3 players with built-in mics record in low quality pcm/wave (8000 hz 32kbps i think). The GP32 does not play wave files afaik.

I have tried to use the SMC from my MP3 player in my GP32, and it doesn't work.

While the file system is the same, the MP3s need to be in the proper folder. Actually, you probably need all of the GP32's directory structure for it to work.
