I am planning on making 2 cables which can hook up to an external modem and a Mobile phone, but I need to know what to get and basic procedures. I was wondering if anybody would write bios/programs for modem capibility. Cause i know crap about C/C++ or any coding for that matter

finally, SOMEONE is going to try and take this on! But sorry, I can be of no help here. :(

The EXT port hooks up to a Samsung mobile phone. I think it has the same part number as the CPU.

There was somewhere in Switzerland that sells the correct jacks, or I think TFBreyant also had some...except he's gone now, isn't he?

well darkfader has those plugs and I got a MAXX chip to test some things. If it hooks up to the phone maybe I will get like 20 of these parts and make cables and give them to 18 people, for a small fee (cost of parts, shipping). But I want to try to make an EXT. port to com port cable to use for an external modem.

"Shane", PLEASE try to get this working. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

I would have thought there were PDAs that use a processor from the same set as the GP32's. If one of those could connect to a mobile, would the code be useful?

i hope you don't have cheap nokia shit 8))
buy any samsung mobile phone + cable

a very easy way would be to use linux to dial the modem on the serial port.

problem is that the serial port isnt programmed for linux yet.

But you can look at the code to dial a modem using generic driver etc.

theres a few c++ sources around you would have to change it to use the gp32 serial port

actually I dont have a mobile phone but could easily get one its the service sign up. Dont think its a samsung but definately not Nokia, POC(piece of crap). The linux doesn't have serial port support? well I will see what I can do in the hardware compartment, now I need to go get a sauder/solder.

I have the hardware working that can connect the GP32 to the internet, LANs etc, but I don't have a simple terminal emulator to get it going.

Is the Samsung phone cable usable without any changes?

hey jegHegy, where do you get the Samsung R210 data cable? I have searched and searched for it, and all I come up with is chargers. PLease give us a link if you know where. thanks

so imagine I had a samsung mobile phone with WAP, a GP32, and one of those cables... what would then be needed? what would the possibilities be? a proper web browser (after software is written, o/c..)? wireless gaming over the internet? recieve your e-mails? like... what else?
