Looks like GP32 will be dead soon

Does this mean that all the games in development on gp32news.com are not going to be developed now?? And I believe this is going to be the death of the GP32, kinda wish i hadn't bought mine now, I thought this system had some promise to it.

The system is and should have been dead a while ago in your perspective dude. There have been the same unreleased titles since its debut, what makes the system seem dead now than compared to 3 months ago?

Why would it die? It'll just stay the same as it is now, nothing's changed. The Zodiac, on the other hand, is what you should worry about, it'll be nicking our coders as soon as it's out, I reckon.

what about joyGP?
JoyGP will go on! Never die!
Entware promise to support GP32 whether Mitsui cancel their european launching or not.

I fail to see how the system will die because the european launch was cancelled...how does this affect those of us outside of europe? It doesn't really, but I guess we still might miss out on what may have eventuated from those who would have purchased european GP32's...

I've spent alot of money on my collection, i have many many systems that have gone nowhere and I thought they had promise, I have my Lynx, gamecom, gamegear, my Jaguar, my CDX, my Saturn, my Dreamcast, my N64, my Virtual Boy, all systems that had a lot more backing than the GP32 and all that lived relatively short life spans. I see no difference now between the situations of all those systems and GP32. The only difference is that every system....even the Jaguar had a hell of a lot more games to offer. Take out the homebrewn because that didn't exist on any system at the time. Its the curse of being a "first". Most systems that come out first, die first, because other developers and company can see how to improve on whats already out there.

I'm tired of seeing the same old crap for the GP32, every web site i've gone to has the same crappy homebrewn games. If you like tetris than wooo hoo your in luck theres a ton of those around, the only enjoyable game i've downloaded from JoyGP is Elf Logic. So if anybody can direct me to more enjoyable homebrewn games, then by all means, please let me know. And if this system can't go anywhere but korea then its dead.

1. Some of the best games are homebrew, and the ports to the GP32 (Doom, ROTT, SCUMM, Wolf3D, etc) are very good.

2. All platforms have PD games. I have thousands of PD NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy/Colour/Advance ROMS that are very playable, and lots could easly be retail.

3. The GP32 is not just a games console. It is a portable media and coding suite, being able to play full films, play MP3s, offer word porcessing apps, etc.

crappy homebrewn games
I don't think that they are... I RARLEY (1-2 times a month and only legal PD roms) use emulators, the same with commercial games and I'm 100% happy with my GP32.
