Emulator Screen Problems

I'm pretty sure someone else mentioned this but I can't find the thread to see if someone came up with a solution. When using emulators (Frodo and MSX definitely - might have happened with others), my screen will flick off for a second and then come back in quarters that are in the wrong place - ie Bottom left of the screen appears top right etc. Restarting fixes the problem but it keeps coming back. I know its not the GP32 itself as Moviepark works fine and the emulators themselves can work fine for quite a few minutes before going strange.

Anybody know of the cause and how to fix it?

Have you tried the latest version of Frodo? I believe I've fixed that bug.

I'll give it a go - thanks for the quick response.

I got it in MSX as well - is it a common problem that needs coding round?

The batteries were fresh in this morning but did have to put up with an hour of South Park before the emu's! Is this a known issue?

Thanks

Some emus, especially the 133mhz ones really hammer the battery life, and thats the symptoms, random weirdness when they are low.

So you're saying the battery life will be just over one hour? (He spent an hour on SP, and "a few minutes" on the emulator before it screwed up)

Just over one hour doesn't seem right, especially when your site says 10-14 :p ... of course check if it runs fine with a different set of batteries, but also consider the quality of your roms ... if they're from a bad source, they might be corrupted which would probably mess up your GP32.

Thanks all for your advice - I'll keep an eye on the situation. Could be the batteries as I'm using up my old Argos ones although I had the same problem with my Duracell's.

I just got my gp32 this morning and I finally got round to trying frodo only to find that it crashed out every time, after freaking out about it a while I checked out the forums and lo and behold, it was the batteries getting low.

thanks to everyones input on the forums and of course, all you emu proggys

it's made my day!!
