has anybody else noticed the way gp32x and gp32 emu appear to be contradicting eachother.gp32x stated

A European Launch for our beloved GP32 may happen next Spring!
GamePark is currently negotiating with a company in Europe now.

yet gp32emu stated

Gamepark have stopped production of the GP32 until sometime next year (possibly April!) and there are only 2000 GP32's left in stock at Gamepark.

how can a european release allegedly be going ahead if gamepark are not producing any consoles between now and around the time the eu release may take place.

Hmm... strange... I hope, GamePark is knowing what they do.

As the European Release is far from being sure, I assume they just stopped production but may start it again WHEN the European Release is sure...
And if there is no European Release, they may start again producing in April.

Who honesly cares if there's an Euro release. The people who have a gp32 have theirs. It's not like we're going to all of a sudden have loads of commerical games and what not. I mean why jump all over it. If u want a new shell, paint your own, there are tons of paints, epesically ones that look awesome with a flu-lit gp32.

If anyone agrees or disagrees post, cuz I'd like to know why some ppl think it's such a big deal. Maybe, I'm just not seeing it ur way.

Thx

-Matt

i want more coders 2 discover it.... Many programmers who could be interested just aren't finding out about it so a european release would greatly increase the amount of programmers

i bet they are halting production for the Korean market, and making loads for the European release, thats why the are saying there is 2000 machines left then all the rest they make will be for Euro, Well just my guess anyway :)

Nah... with gamepark, they're more likely to miscount and find that either they counted each unit 4 times or so, and there's only 500, or that there was a stack of boxes in a warehouse that one momeber of the team forgot to tell the others about...

They're fairly disorganised, from what I've heard...

Hmm... strange... I hope, GamePark is knowing what they do.
ehem.. since when gamepark has actually had any clue what they are doing?
there has been no logic or anything else that could be distinguished in their actions to this day ;P

they are good in few things:
1) delays
2) false promises
3) pr.. what's that?
4) eww.. what is this thing you call "advertising" .. teach us o mighty [insert anyone with brain here.. that pretty much excludes anyone at gamepark]
5) games.. why should we make more games.. 20 games for a $150 console is enought
6) developer support.. never heard of that one

ok.. few were little off ..
atleast when we think that they actually gave me gp32 for free.. hmm..
/me takes it all back ;P

GP32Emu is GBAX affiliate, so I guess they push the GP32 sales with this... I am wondering if Craig is the European Company they are speaking to, because he said earlier that there might be a surprise at Christmas if I remember it correctly...

Unfortunately Gamepark is in deep shit if my information is not completely wrong. If you quickly review the past 18 month of Gamepark history you’ll really ask yourself how they actually managed to reach that point where they spoke to a company like Mitsui.

It's a pity, the small machine they have created just rocks! The scene is great and I just love to hang around and try new things every day.

Well, maybe they just stopped production because they NEED MONEY!

Finding a partner in Europe also costs money and they are desperately trying to find a good partner.
IF they find one, they will surely start production for the Euro Release (financed probably partially by their partner) - and if they won't suceed finding a partner, they start the usual production again in April.

This may sound logical. Ermm... but we're talking about GamePark here...
But who knows, maybe they just hired some marketing person who knows what he's doing.
Nothing agains GamePark - but they seem like technicians able to create a superbe handheld but failing in good marketing.

I don't think gp32emu.com did this together with craig to raise sales.
craig's too nice a guy to do such thing.

If people don't believe my post about only 2000 GP32's being left try asking gamepark, they might reply - you never know!

But seriously its true, production stopped earlier this year, no GP32s were made for mitsumi, gamepark need serious investment to restart production...

Exactly what I thought... stopping production NOW to use the rest of the money finding a partner who invests...

Let's hope it will work out well for our little machine!
