Someone could do an organizer and a (good) calculator?

Because i think that wind-Ups is wonderful and extremely useful but with this tool and a gui more cool could be the best fw ever done.

What do u think?

P.S. I know nothing about code an util, is it difficult?
I could learn something quickly?

Wind-Ups is a program, not firmware. With PacRom you can set it to start WindUps at boot. But I understand your sentiment.

Someone is working on a graphing calculator. I wonder how they're doing...

Coding can indeed be difficult. It all depends on your aptitude, which cannot be easily measured from across here. I would say as a general rule, if you haven't had prior coding experience, you will find it difficult at first. Yet with everything having computers inside of them these days, it will indeed be a skill that will be quite useful to you one day.

good idea... :)
by the way Im making a calc using RPN notation.
I dont know if this one will be available soon or not but Im working...
I have a lot of Pb's displaying float numbers but I'll manage to make this f***en fontion working
For the organisor it could be good but remember that without keyboard it would be hard to use.

see you ;)

There is a big problem with PDA stylie programs that people seem to be missing: The GP32 doesn't have an internal clock. This means no calander, no clock, no "reminder", etc.

the widups "keyboard" is good.
But this isn't the problem.

I'll like to see the gp32 as a serius instrument, useful, powerfull (coz it is POWERFULL)
and not like that gba shit!

P.S. (Also it could play a lot of beautiful games :) )

you can get it to boot directly into windups, not just through pacrom, doesnt this mean it classes as a fw?

There is a way to modify the Circuit in the GP32 (With 1 Wire I think) so you can have a Clock Running that keeps its time.... :D

But Im not risking the life of my GP32 just so I can have the Time when I have a watch that can tell me hehe... B)

I really dont see the point in having an organiser and a calc etc anyway, I mean the gp32 is a GAMES machine if you want all that you should have got a PDA.
Most mobile phones have a basic calender and calc functions anyway!

Yes, of course!!
This is why i'm going to buy it but if it was a few more serious it would be fun!
And another thing a game device can be serious!

And can u explain me this clock problem...?

The gp32 does not have any internal clock memory.
For example if you made a clock program and set the time on it, the gp32 would not remember the time when its switched off.

with multi firmware you can get windups to load automaticly just like pac rom can. How is this not concidered firmware then? Anyway as cool as wind ups looks its really not as useful as pac rom. While pac rom might not be the best looking firmware it is by far the most well thought out and practical.

i agree. but some scared my recently by saying if you set the option to remember the last program selected then it writes it to sumthing which only has a set number or writes available for it

OK, I phrased my post wrong. I ment to say that only the .fxe is in the BIOS, and you still need all the other files on a SMC for it to run.
