highlights: Getting my GP32!... announcements for fCPC32, MAME, giana sisters, GPSmack... appearance of FGB32, opensnes9x, new littlejohn... loads more

other highlights: that time someone went mental on the 'what gp32 games are good while stoned' thread hehehe... nokia sidetalking website :D

lowlights: repeated european launch faliure :( and MY BLOODY USB LINK PACKING IN! :-||

only 20,000 gp32's, huh? damn now i wish i could code... i feel like a bum :p

highlights - damn, there was a lot this year.

GPengine, GenesisMu, Snes9xGP final, Vectrex emulators (2!), 2600 emulators (also 2!), Colecovision emulators (again.. 2!), MSX emulation (that was this year right!), Atari 800 emulation (my first system!), GP32 version of Sopwith, Neo Geo Pocket emulation, GBA emulation (unplayable, but it happened!), Atari Lynx emulation (unplayable).. I am sure I missed a few in there..

Pics of fMame and fGen were amazing (though yet to see a release)

Little John finally nails NES emulation (possibly highlight of the year, if not GPengine). Also competition from the discontinued Nester Port and the yet-unreleased fNes

Damn, I almost forgot, the amazing Atari ST emulator.. GP Cinema.. and we finally got over the whole Overclocking hurdle (well, many of us). And let's not forget the whole FLU thing! And also there were 2 meetups this year, spiv got a keyboard connected (+working) with GP32, and a ram upgrade was successfully performed (if not repeated, as far as I know).. JoyGP went live.. Dreamcast/GP32 connector..

better forgotten moments...
_counter, everyone flaming the crap out of Intellecto (say what you will, he did a great job and got everyone's attention for awhile, only now is that emulator being superceded), nothing really enticing was released commercially (if you ask most people..) - a lot of hype that turned out vaporous (no names), no perfect SNES emulator (well, it's getting better!) or Genesis emulator yet, the @#*$@#$ gp32x board crashing for whole weekends right when things were interesting, tons of people leaving to go over to Zodiac camp and spewing much venom as they left.. FLU do-it-yourself attachment never released, GP32 european released caves in, the leak of a bunch of emulators (pissing off ThunderZ and others), me making long and semi-pointless rants on a messageboard at 4am for no other reason than the fact that, I can.

what next year will bring is quite a mystery.. predictions?
I predict: better SNES emulator, better Neo Geo Pocket, fMame release, a near-perfect Genesis release, a better GBA emulator, perfect GB/C emulation, morenew Rlyeh emulator announcements, a new GPEngine release. Also, Zodiac comes out with some insane emulators that steal some more GP32 fans (and it's price drops), perhaps some coders abandon GP32 altogether.. Euro release gets delayed/altered more or just plain cancelled.. a flood of newbs come ot the boards and wreak their usual havok..etc. etc. Spoons take over the world, we all must dress like Candybars, I change my name to Malt Liquor Spaghetti. the End.

Highlights: Great British GP32 meet up.
Genesis Emulation.

Lowlights: Scratching the actual LCD on my GP32
Damaging the original white shell beyond repair when fitting the black one.
Not coughing up and buying a FLU.
