hey, what about a quickshot supervision emulator! you can play wonder-lad and block-fall-game!!! or that footie effort where upon scoring the text "ha! i kick in!" appears on the screen, classic!!

Wasn't the Supervision that handheld with a moveable screen? Think it had a square/diamond shaped dpad too.. Is that the one?

I've never even seen an emulator for it, or even any technical documents, so it could be tricky..

As for what's possible on the GP32, who knows? The ST emulator has just rewrote the rules I think ;) I mean, one day it's struggling with NES emulation - the next day it can run some ST stuff full speed.. So I really couldn't say :)

;)

This did remember me of something other. It's OT I guess, since it's most probably un-doable.

Does anybody remember these old Nintendo "Game&Watch" handhelds? It would be cool
if you could emulate some of them, since they were quite taxing. But it's most probably not
feasible, since the sprites were like... hardwired to the screen (Don't know how to express
it in english).

I guess that none of these games were ever realized on another console, apart of several
similar Donkey Kong's.

Back to topic... what about a colecovision emulator? I don't think that it's released
somehow...?

TheHiVE was working on a colecovision emulator for the GBA, maybe he'll port it over now he's doing GP32 stuff.

I think there are Game & Watch "simulators" available for the PC, don't think they can really be emulated. Porting the simulators over might be an option if they're open source.

Nintendo has released a series of games for gbc and GBA of those game and watches, they include the original LCD version as well as an updated version , each one contained about 5 G+W Games, the first one should work with one of the gb emulators, from what i remember they inlude cement factory, donkey kong chef ...

Wow... cement factory. I completely forgot about that one.
This was one of my favourites.

The first one I had was called Manhole. All you had to do was to remember
the patterns you had to move, but it got braindead fast after a while. :)

Thanks for the advice, though. I will try to get these GB ROMs somewhere.
I think this should be more or less legal, considering how many G&W's I
owned long time ago... ;)

maybe im the only one who owned a quickshot supervision then.
basicly it was a giant game boy with a movable screen, it also had lots of low quality clones of various popular games at the time (early 1990s) i was a mug and opted for one of these over a gameboy as it was cheaper and the guy told me it was the next big thing, dispite being black and white and having no good games, except for the super pang clone, that wasnt bad.

very much the austin alegro of the handheld world. ;)

hehe! :D
I googled for it and found some screenshots. It probably looked promising at the time
it was released. I remember seeing a Gamegear for the first time when I already owned
a Gameboy. I wanted one very badly, since I thought that my Gameboy was already out of
business. But time proved me wrong... :)

Thanks for the link golgotha!

There sure look nice. :)
Although I find the originals with the black sprites way more charming
than the modern version... but that's just the nostalgia factor. I'll try
these out for sure!

Game and watch are emulated (simulated) on the PC - might be possible to port.
