Integrated Rom Crc Database

It uses the nestroy data base meaning you have to 'prepare' the roms before uploading. I think fNes has intergated CRC checking

go to littlejohn's homepage and all the things you need to have should be there.

It still doesnt help at all, I used it on all of my nes roms, and put the proper files in the nes directory, and all it does is show the proper name of the game AFTER you choose it. Kind of pointless since you cant cancel when your on that screen anyway.

Now if it showed the names of all of the games on the list, that would be usefull, but it doesnt do that...atleast not for me. I even deleted the cache and had it rescan, oh well.

I deleted cache, rescanned, and re analyzed AGAIN and this time it worked... something must have been funky the last time.

Except no matter what I do, I have to rescan everytime I turn it on, it doesnt save the scanned data....(it saves the normal names but not the Nestoy names) Any way to force it to save these names?

Errm... don't confuse something here...

You do NOT need to prepare your roms!
You copy your roms as usual in gpmm/nes

BUT you have to copy the nesdbase.dat (from nestoy) AS WELL into gpmm/nes, otherwise it won't work!

I have rebooted over and over, it still doesnt show them on the menu, I have to rescan each time.

And EvilDragon its best to prepare your roms with nestoy so nestoy can fix bad headers, overdumps, etc.. and give you a list of bad dumps so you can get better ones that have a proper CRC that will show up in the menu.

Edit: I made it work, I manually deleted the CCH file from the SMC (didnt use the delete cache option in littlejohn), then rescanned, and reanalyzed, loaded a game up, exited to rom selector, loaded another game up, and rebooted. I think something is buggy there...

I have all my roms organized by the Good Tools - so I don't need to use nestoy (except the db for LJGP :)
