Hello, I am expecting my gp32 in the next few days.

I have looked on various websites with regards for some information about installation of the gamepark 32 for my computer (running windows xp), but they all seem to contradict each other and leave me no wiser than I was before.

Whats the exact procedure when I get the gamepark in order to get it running? I have purchased the machine from lik-sang.

Thanks in advance, :)

Andrew.

By the way, how big are the files that need to be downloaded?

Thanks again. :)

Not very for the setting up tools... I would say about a couple of meg if that... bearable over 56.6k modem :) I recommend downloading as much as yuo can now so you can get started straightaway when your GP32 comes in... then free luancher will be the only program that is downloaded on the day :p

I'm already collecting roms for use with the system.

If for instance, I have a nes game with the extension .nes, will this work with the nes emulators for the gp32. As would be the case for .snes files or mega drive roms? :)

Yeah, nes roms should be .nes. (minus the last period, of course) However, snes shouldn't be .snes, but they should be .smc. Just leave the extension as the same as when you downloaded the rom, as it is most likely the correct extension.

Note: For gb roms, rename the extension to .gbc.

Since you have to have 1-8 char (dot) 3 char filenames on the GP32, anything with more or less than 3 char extention needs to be renamed :)
