Are there any developers either supporting or planing on supporting the Ericsson Chatboard? I would like to hear from you if you are. I would like to put a CD together with software that supports the chatboard.

Purley selfish reasons of course I have started selling chatboards from my site. PayPal payment for them will be finished today hopefully.

GP32 Hardware

my simulator is waiting for the SDK update for the GBAX comp, Im glad it finally got to you

do developers get any sort of discount ? or is that just cheeky :D

would be pretty handy for a project of mine.

I would like to give developers a discount.

If you email me directly and give reasons for a developer discount. Software you have developed? What you are working on now? Copies of the software. And also agree that the software could be part of a compilation CD that could be given away with future chatboards.

I can request a payment via PayPAL that would allow you to receive a developer discount.

Ordered a chatboard ...
Hope to get it very soon !

Btw ... for those interested (and I know there are some among us), I'm trying to do a port of speccyal on the DC... Given that I don't have much free time, it could take long. The option screen is the first thing I'm trying to port and it displays something right now.

the only thing that buggers me is charboard's poor responsiveness.. I'm sure action gamers will be disappointed if those issues are true:

as I heard, it doesn't supports multiple keypresses at once, and even I heard it's only producing events on key release (I mean not when you push a key but release it), I'm not sure this issues are correct, but thats what I heard on #gp32dev...

if this is true, than the keyboard is only usable when playing non-action adventure games and programming (Spectrum Basic rulez)... It's more than enough for me ofcourse...

and first thing I want, /*as I told many times before*/ is a spectrum emu with chatboard support!

I would think that would be the developer doing or not doing that rather than the actual hardware. Usually you query the hardware for the status of an individual button's current state. Using common functions to automate the proccess by returning a flag that contains all of the keys that are currently pressed (Like the official SDK for the GP32 does) and you use simple AND / OR logic to query the invidual keys.

I think mr.mirko would be able to shed some light on this, as he is writing functions to use it with his SDK.

after the chatboard support in my SDK is ready, and i
ported the first game with chatboard support, i can tell you,
that the chatboard is not for action gamers.
You can not press 2 keys at the same time, and the speed is ( 9600 Boud ) is not the fastest.

If you use the chatbaord for slower games, or text typing, its what the name provide. A chatboard...
