    Megadrive

Hello, I'm a Megadrive fan too :) As many of you, I was disappointed with the image quality on my LCD TV. I've recently discovered and bought the expensive "XRGB mini" device. It's an hardware upscaler, basically, it imitates the CRT TV rendering (scanlined) on modern HD TV. You just plug...

    Wifi issues anyone?

Hello, I've already seen such issue on another device: the Toshiba AC100. The wifi is poor on most unit and very poor (unusable) on some units. Then, someone found the fix: cutting the shield between the LCD screen and the antenna: http://www.lins.me/ac100/fixing_wifi.html I confirm that...

    Open2x Dr7 For F100 And F200

Thanks a lot. I was aware there were 2 gcc for open2x, but I messed up with my $PATH and I was compiling kernel with gcc 4.1 instead of gcc 3.3 ! And the "open2x-kernel.sh" adds the gcc 3.3 at the end of the PATH, not at the beginning, so it did not prevent my mistake ...

    Open2x Dr7 For F100 And F200

Hello, I'm trying to recompile the open2x kernel. I grab the latest from SVN, compile it using the prebuilt toolchain, but it fails. It looks like the current sources do not compile. Is there a "stable" source archive somewhere ?

    Open2x Dr4

Hi, I just installed the DR4 + patch on my First Edition, and it works very well :) Boot time is faster than my previous 2.5 official firmware. "USB SD" is working for me. I'm now playing around with the integrated gmenu. What is the "GMU" item ? it seems to freeze my GP2X ...

    Usb Host Networking

That's right. To clarify, with this module, the GP2X becomes an "USBnet host" whereas the builtin function from GPH is "USBnet slave" (this one seems to have disapeared in F200). This USBnet host module recognizes the CDC compliant devices, which includes: - some USB-to-USB host cable (allows...

    Usb Host Networking

Hello everyone :) I have compiled the USBNET kernel module for GP2X. Just had to follow this procedure: http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/Building_Firmware_2.0.0_modules This module allows you to use a standard USB networking device on the GP2X, connected to an USB host port. That means you need a...

    Nimh Battery Review

I own 2500 mah Energizer batteries, and I can confirm they rock ! My charger is a "La Crosse BC900" which is near perfect ( review: http://www.techmati.com/reviews/rs900/index.htm ) The energizer 2500mah last at least twice as long as the 2000mah batteries provided with charger while watching...

    Easy Overclocking

Just did that pencil trick on my NLU GP32, which was limited to 166 Mhz (168 did crash instantly): Now I can go up to 220 Mhz ! And my GP32 does not seem to be very hot ...
