Why are we discussing it? Because currently in my opinion an Arm Cortex A8 just doesn't satisfy my needs for a hand held device. However a Pandora with an ARM Cortex A15 dual core clocked at 1.5GHz might finally be capable of running windows 95 and also be able to run classic PC games.
Arm processors are getting extremely popular and are starting to step into netbook territory. There has been a couple articles regaurding this on the net. How would the programs run If windows xp was on an arm processor?
honestly man, ive been waiting for a device that can run starcraft for 4 years now...
when i discovered the open pandora my hopes got up and i made a thread about it cause i thought you could easily run SC with wine on a 800MHz - 1 GHz Device (whatever the clockspeed a pandora has)
i thought...
thanks, ill look into it. just this morning i was shocked at the new low prices of UMPCs. last time i checked the prices of these things it was an OQO and it went for $1,200 with poor specs and no touch screen.

and when...

well, my psp can run windows 95 and Ive seen iPhones do it too. but it runs sooo bad, the only thing you can run is notepad and clock and stuff but even that takes like 10 minutes to start up.
The question is can Pandora run it well and can we get drivers on this emulator so we can run classic...
Don't know if anyone asked this before but does anyone know if we could just use some of the memory stick as RAM? I think since memory sticks use random access they would be relatively fast in case your on resource hogging websites.
hopefully if I get into more hardcore programming I can make some Blizzard entertainment remakes (as long as I dont get into legal cease and disist issues from Blizzard).
