GP2X Rtc Outside Of The Gp2x?

Any gps will provide a very accurate time report. The output is usually ASCII text and readable on either the RS-232 serial port or a USB port, depending on the device chosen. If one second intervals meet your requirement then this is a quick way to get it.

Libjpeg - In Libs Path But Not Found By Gcc

I have just downloaded and installed the same SDK and bumped into the same problem. There are static libraries in the directory: .../gp2xsdk/Tools/arm-gp2x-linux/lib/static but they do not include: libjpeg.a or libpow.a -- both are required to use SDL_image. Does anyone know a location to...

    Breakout Board Setup

I have the Mk1 gp2x and I modded the developer BoB by soldering two wires to the back of the power socket on the Bob. The other end has a plug to match the gp2x power input. The standard 2.0 amp accessory ac adaptor will drive both. This mght not apply for the new commercial Bob since there is...

Bob Cradle Designed Around The Dev Board

Very impressive design work. Much better than anything I could do. I have a developer's version of the BoB and a Mk1 Gp2x. To overcome the need for two power supplies, I soldered a short wire to the back of the Bob power input socket and attached a mating plug that gets inserted into the Gp2x...

    Using Gp2x With Lcd Monitor

Here's another Lik Sang offering that is probably more suited to this application: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...ts_id=3235&

    GP2X Create Fw 2.0 Kernel / Modules

What is the URL for the modules you put in the archive? I am interested in the gps driver. Is it gpsd ?

    Tom Tom?

Rikaline (www.rikaline.com.tw) makes a gps module that fits all inside the antenna. Cost is around US $ 40. It outputs both RS232 and TTL level signals. Have a look at sqlite (www.sqlite.org) as your database engine. It is public domain, written in C and is very fast. I have plans to do...

The Need For Linux In The Gp2x

This is an interesting idea, but a quick look at the website indicates that USB support will not be available until version 4.8 sometime in 2007. Does your port include cached access to the entire 64 megabytes of ram? How important to users of the gp2x is the Real Time part of rtems?

    Breakout Boards

Previous discussions on the case design have been limited. Do we have any readers with the capability to build something like this: http://wiki.gp2x.org/images/6/6c/Bob.gif Any better ideas / sketches?

    File System(s) On The Gp2x

"Those who don't know the past are condemned to repeat it." [George Santayana] The Babylonions used a base 12 system. That is why we have 12 hours of daylight / 12 hours of night (close to the equator). The duration of an hour was variable. And the English decided there should be 12 inches in...

    Ext Dc

What a pleasant surprise! Might have been a BIG load of luck involved. 1. If the pins were wrong you could have fried the gp2x. 2. The USB standard indicates powering from the cable should be limited to less than 500 milliamps current. The gp2x has been reported to consume between 500 and 800...

    G_ether

When applying the Settings->System->USB Network option you must press the 'B' key to register the setting. The shell script that appears to be executed includes the lines: modprobe net2272 modprobe g_file_storage file=/dev/mmcsd/disc0/disc or modprobe net2272 modprobe g_file_storage...

    Generic Power Adapter?

Bricks have no brains so can be neither stupid nor smart. Users can learn to use a screwdriver and change the plug for about a dollar. Then they could appear less dumb than the power cord.
