    Atari-st Outcast And Tv-out

Looks like my memory isn't accurate then...I could've sworn it worked for me...sorry about that...if you can see two complete images and proportions aren't crazy I suppose it might still be of some use, but probably pretty damned distracting in an action game. Maybe I got some cardboard and...

    Atari-st Outcast And Tv-out

I don't have my GP2X to check, but I'm almost sure I've used OutcaST successfully on my tv using the tv-out fixer utility. Like I say, can't test to check, but someone around here may know. And if not, it'll only take a couple of minutes to give it a try - search TV-out fixer in the archive.

    Betrayed By Gp2x.co.uk

I'll show a little support for gp2x.co.uk too. They even replaced my GP2X a couple of months after the guarantee was up which is going well beyond their obligations (before anyone else with a broken GP2X tries to get a free replacement - there were extenuating circumstances, but they weren't in...

    Gp2x-msx: Msx Emulator For Gp2x V1.0.1

Superb. Wonderful. Amazing. Excellent. One of the key reasons I bought the GP2X was in the hope that someone would write/port an MSX emulator before long. And they did, but it was too limited in the keyboard (but was a great start). But now we have this - a keyboard setting utopia. First time...

    Outcast Help

Are You A Young Person? I Need Your Help...

Thanks to everyone whose offered suggestions. I know there's plenty of info on the net about teenspeak, but I sometimes got the impression that it wasn't the most reliable (whereas asking for info on a GP forum is an obvious, guaranteed route to reliable info on every subject...). For those...

Are You A Young Person? I Need Your Help...

"Owns" is a good one. I think you're right about the globalisation of youth slang. I was actually trying to remember what slang words I used back in the day (80s-90s) and all I can think of so far is 'dipstick' and I seem to remember some people using 'beezer' which seemed a bit passe even at...

Are You A Young Person? I Need Your Help...

Or, to make it more interesting for the older readers, please also feel free also to post anything you've heard teenagers saying that you didn't quite understand and maybe the young'uns can educate us. Now's your chance to get just a little bit hipper...as if owning a GP console doesn't make you...

Are You A Young Person? I Need Your Help...

Hello, Firstly, let's be clear - by young, I don't mean 'young at heart because you still play the same games you did when you were young'. No, I mean the real deal. Teenage would just about right. And British. In short, I've been asked to write a short piece for a Japanese newspaper about the...

    Starting From The Top, Again

To answer the question about the pdf viewer - Yes, it works. But it's slow. And when I say slow, I mean that with the one pdf I tried (admittedly a fairly graphically intense one) I was able to go to the toilet, pick up the day's post, put the kettle on and get back before one page had been...

    Msx Emulation - What Gives?

I'd also love to see MSX emulation finished up as the GP2X port of the emulator itself seems pretty stable - it just needs the magic of a virtual keyboard to finish it off. At first I thought that was the easy part but then it occurred that if you're a competent porter, it might be easier to get...

    Faulty Gp2x Or Tv-out Cable?

For all the millions who've been holding their breath waiting on the resolution to this thread... It was indeed a faulty GP2X ext port. Although my GP2X was out of guarantee, gbax took into account that the fault had been there since day 1, that I'd simply not reported it as I thought it was a...

Game Of The Week - Trivia Challenge

In order: Lynx, 3D0, Dave Needle + R.J. Mical and the original Amiga. Probably. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps.

    Faulty Gp2x Or Tv-out Cable?

Yes, that is useful to know. I contacted GBAX and they said they couldn't help me, so I'll try again. Thanks a lot.

    Faulty Gp2x Or Tv-out Cable?

I really appreciate the advice (and if anyone has any other suggestions, I'd welcome them) but I've already tried the fix you referred to and, as for NTSC and PAL - I've tried PAL on PAL TVs and NTSC on NTSC TVs, as well as NTSC on PAL and PAL on NTSC...so I don't think it's a standards problem...
