What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Extremely interesting!!! I'll digest it properly tonight. Nintendo have usually priced their games cheaper than the competition to attract more casual gamers. Maybe now they are positioning themselves a boutique brand, which makes sense and might work.

I had the urge to play Super Mario Kart this morning at 5AM. It's more of a racing game whereas MKW is more of a party game. I like both. MKW might be more fun to play with chicks.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Actually prices of games have dropped substantially if you adjust for inflation. Games were $150 in the 90's in today's money. Companies in general. People will say it's late capitalism but it's really late digital era. It's harder to innovate if computers don't double in power every 18 months.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I'm excited to play modern 1st party Nintendo games, hopefully with my daughter. MKW is excellent as expected. My first impressions of it are: familiar, big and easy.

For the last boss I read the strategy on gamefaqs which suggest many items and magic I did not possess. Indeed I didn't do any...

DS a beautiful, surreal experience. But you need to be in the mood. I gave up on it before I re-dedicated my life to gaming. I’d like to pick it up again at some point. It’s a reason to look forward to being snowed in.

I gave up on DS. Doesn't hold a candle to MGS.

The Rise of Pyra - A story about the past 6 months

Pyra is still pretty much my dream Linux palmtop. The reason I don't use mine as much as I might is (a) my worsening eyesight and (b) my fat thumbs.
