Unfortunately my life situation forces me to put my beloved Pandora for sale. As I currently have no job and I'm broke, I'm obviously in need of cash. I still intend to buy the 1Ghz edition as soon as I get the cash, as this community and the device are really one of a kind. Anyways, here goes...
Quick "review" of the programs I use daily on my 256MB Pandora (CPU clocked at 800 and using a 1GB swap file):
Apps:
Fast Reboot - Used to free memory by simulating a reboot, works great and is really useful especially on the classic Pandora
Opera Mini - Really fast and user friendly web...
As it seems that infinity is not able to produce any cables right now, is there anyone else making/selling these cables? I believe there are many Pandora users that would like to have them.
Are you running it on 1 Ghz Pandora? 'Cos atleast on my 1st gen Pandora the game runs slow as a snail. Playable, maybe, but definately not great.
I got myself and USB 2.0 hub and connected the PS3 controllers with usb cable to the hub. Then I just ran the sixpair utility once and after that I configured the controllers at PCSX. There are more detailed instructions on the forum somewhere.
Finally! CTR is working perfectly. Even though I don't have my TV out cable yet, playing with friends in split screen with PS controllers is even now goddamn awesome. If this isn't the best and most flexible handheld, I don't know what is. This is just great, thanks guys!
I created a 1 gb swap file and now apps run much, much better. Basic computing is also much faster, thanks!
E: Altough Draw Something still takes really long to load and freezes all the time.
This happens especially with Draw Something. I have been playing the game perfectly fine many times, but now it's suddenly slowing down and then freezing completely. Actually now the game doesn't even boot when I reinstalled it.
Is this somehow related to Pandora running out of memory? How...
Have to wait a bit till I get home so I can try CTR again, but Crash Bash doesn't work either, could the reason be the same as with CTR?EDIT: Couldn't get CTR to work. The game boots up but freezes in the intro sequence. I'll try with new rip tonight, and if that doesn't work.... then what, any...
Yeah, it's a real shame we must use the older kernel to use gamepads. Especially since the most usual reason to use pads is when you are playing with your friends with a big screen and the TV output is then much worse. This really should be fixed soon.
