    Wiz charging cable (Samsung E810)

Hi all, I purchased a charging cable advertised as working for the Samsung E810. Should this cable work to charge the Wiz out-of-the-box (i.e. without modification)? Just wanted to check before I go to the effort of taking the cable to pieces and attempting a re-wire! Could also be that the...

Thank you! It would appear that it does :)

Does anyone have a copy of Open2X toolchain for Wiz (Cygwin)?

Hi all, I'm after a copy of the Wiz Open2X development toolchain for windows (cygwin). It's linked to from this page: http://wiki.gp2x.org/articles/i/n/s/Installing_the_Open2x_toolchain.html At this URL...

Where are the old folk of GP32?

I'm still floating around, too :) I was working on a desktop manager for GP32, and trying to get flash games going on Wiz. Don't seem to have as much time as I used to! I also made a bunch of GP32 avatars way back when that some people were using :) Funny. I've attached those again in case...

    Source Code For Flash Player

Not sure how many people still frequent these forums :)   Does anyone know if the source code is available for the flash player that ships with the Wiz, or how to go about getting it?

    Testing Touchscreen

Thanks heaps Peter R. Will test it and then report back... EDIT: Peter R, if you don't mind would you be able to make it so that the screen doesn't clear by itself? Perhaps it clears when you press 'Y'? I'd like to take some screenshots but the pixels keep disappearing :)

    Testing Touchscreen

Hi all, Anyone with a Wiz, please feel free to download and unzip the following app (drawing.swf) and put it in a 'flash' folder on the SD. SD > flash > drawing.swf To play it, from menu: entertainment > flash > drawing.swf Buttons  first one is 'clear' and second is 'close' (doesn't...

    Testing The Touchscreen

Hi all, I wrote a very small drawing application (in flash) to test the touchscreen. All it does is draw pixels directly under the stylus when you draw on the screen. I am running in to some pretty weird problems. I am not sure if it is the touch screen itself, or (more likely) the buggy F7...

Wiz Flash Player Benchmarked Against Mobile Phones

GPH haven't indicated who the vendors are. I'll be updating them shortly on my testing, and I'll pop the question in. GPH have asked for a couple of our games for testing, so I've supplied those. I'll also supply the benchmark app so that they can check performance directly with the old player.

Wiz Flash Player Benchmarked Against Mobile Phones

What sort of RAM bottleneck? Bandwidth? I wouldn't think my tests were that memory intensive... I think it is more likely just the implementation of the Flash Player.

Wiz Flash Player Benchmarked Against Mobile Phones

Hi all, Took some time to do some further benchmarking of the Flash Player on a couple of phones. Full details on my blog Basically it runs about the same as a high-end mobile phone - but no better. This is slightly disappointing. I'm hoping the new vendor for GPH is working overtime to...

    New Gp2x Hardware, F300

I realise that, but I don't think (especially given the other benefits) that it is going to be much of a problem. 5000 hours is still around 3 years. 3 years ago (end 2005ish) was still GP32 for me, and since then there has been another generation of console in between :) Replacement screens...

Flash Player On Wiz - Early Benchmark Results

Hi all, I've done some early benchmarking of the Flash Player on the Wiz (more to come). I will be posting some video of the benchmarks, and will also try to run some popular Flash games to see how they perform (with video). Feel free to drop your suggestions for games you'd like me to test...

    New Gp2x Hardware, F300

QUOTE They last only around 20,000 hours I love it! Considering you used it for at least a full charge (5 hours) every single day, the blue LED would last 11 years! Now perhaps more realistically, you don't play every day, and some days less than 5 hours, this could easilly mean the LED...
