I'm not sure if you are in the US but here you could just go to wal-mart and buy some good rechargeable batteries with a charger and if they did not work go back and return them. I would imagine that would be a nice way to check if its the batteries or not.
Hrm... I did this with overclocking to 270... Never turned the sound off though, could this be the difference? The only setting I changed was FS and moved it up to 2 most the time.
For the Mario Advanced games I might have bad rom versions... Could be the reason for the restart... And...
Alright... Here are some of my results from playing around with the emulator. All of this was done at 275mhz... I used frame skip 2 so much that you might as well figure it was on every game :P

Ah... I was overclocking to 280 mhz when it ended up dieing so that might have something to do with it... And for the most part I'm not looking at the gp2x when it does end up dieing. I do phone support at my work and inbetween calls I play... Most the time the battery dies when I'm on the...
So any ideas why this would happen? I've had the GPX now about 2 weeks and its never come on... Does each program control that light or is it done by the firmware?
I checked the battery status through the firmware and it said empty and then I decided to start up the psx emulator and watch...
I've had my GP2X now for 2 weeks ish and I've used shinneri's guide and I got to it the first time by searching the forums for a person named shinneri and clicked on his signature...
I went through the forum before I bought the gp2x and saw someone had a guide in their sig so thats exactly...
Or you can just do a save state where you would normally do a SRM save... As long as you don't cheat and save at non save places in the RPG it should be the same thing.
