Thanks for putting this up on the main site guys.
Cheers for the correction - I've updated the article. Some others mentioned a couple of things the article, which have also been fixed. The GP2X is such a complex topic is very hard to get it 100% correct without 100 hours research. :)
P.S. I...
Correct - I did not copy the original files and if there was a readme I probably overlooked it during all the excitement. There was literally so much on the disk I copied the whole lot and tried to play it. I'll sort that part of the review out to say that you need to the original games to make...
Although it's digital most non-GP2X people would call it an analogue stick as it's not a d-pad. If I change it to "digital stick" it will mean less to people. How about "digital analogue stick" or "analogue stick (that is actually digital)".
If anyone can shed any light on that situation I'd be...
Hi guys
Before aquiring a GP2X this community was very helpful so I've linked to this forum and the main GP32X site in my review. Hopefully they'll post it up on their news page.
On our site's main homepage there's a graphic advertising "Meet the system pushing portable gaming to new...
All-format UK gaming site DarkZero has just published a lengthy review, which features a plug for gp32x.de and also this forum.

Thanks guys, you've definitely sold it to me and I'll definitely be sticking around here once it arrives.
The price is excellent for all the things you can do. I haven't bought a DS because it can only play games, this is the perfect solution. Hopefully Cannon Fodder will work!
I'm aiming to...
Just before I buy I'd appreciate your advice..
I'm interested in playing MP3s, video and games but how does the GP2X compare to them in terms of video playback? Are there any other devices I should consider instead?
For me watching videos would probably account for 60% of my gp2x usage.
Does anyone know if the GP2X can take advantage of the extra fast SD cards?
I'm going to buy a Kingston one and they're offering 1GB for £17.99 (regular) and £24.99 (elite) that has a faster than normal transfer rate.

IWOOT are usually very good when it comes to images etc so it shouldn't be a problem (hopefully).
Thanks for your help Julius.
I look forward to the day when my GP2X arrives!
Which of the above is the best/newest - the smooth or grooved looking one?
I think IWOOT have only just put up the GP2X on their site and are offering free couriered delivery.
Hi
I got an email from IWantOneOfThese.com advertising the GP2X and it looks great. Here's their page:

It seems the analogue stick here is different to the standard one pictured everywhere else, e.g...
