  • From an Alan Grayson email: "How can I put this politely? Newt is not astute. Newt’s grasp of things is minute. Newt’s credibility is in disrepute. What Newt says in not hard to refute. When it comes to understanding what goes on, Newt is not acute. When Newt is talking, the truth is often lost enroute.

In fact, if the consequences of a Presidential election were not so serious, you could say that Newt is a hoot, to boot. Unintentionally funny, but still funny.

Today will be interesting. Instead of adding 1 tsp of cinnamon to my decaf green tea brewing, I accidentally added 1 tsp of guarana powder.
Which company will be the first to use tattoos in 2-factor authentication? Would those be a "Something You Have" or a "Something You Are"?
Watched the BluRay of Blade Runner, Final Cut edition last night. Awesome in 1080p on the 92" big screen. The added unicorn was a bit bizarre, but I guess it foreshadows the final scene and was put in because of Scott's opinion about Deckard's replicant status.
So many moments with eyes in the film.
47 million people need help to feed themselves. 24 million can't find full-time work. 50 million can't see a doctor when they are sick. (And if you think someone can easily when underemployed, watch Morgan Spurlock's "30 Days" episode on living on the minimum wage for 30 days.)
Jim's now has "Big Jim" burgers, which are 1/2 lb patties instead of 1/4 lb. So their Frontier Burger in "Big Jim" style is now 1 full pound. Egads. I had the normal cheeseburger, Big Jim. It was pretty good. Meat was cooked like I wanted (Medium) and it was charbroiled as normal. Patty is not as fat as I would like, it is thicker than the 1/4 lb and wider. One of these days, I'll try the full-pound Frontier.
Searched TV for Beavis and Butthead. Found "Beavers All Access". Unfortunately, it was a show about the University of Oregon sports teams.
Kirk, Khan, and Kant walk into a bar. Kirk and Khan quickly pick up women. But Kant can't get cunt.
Dammit, some stupid spam-bot is using my GMail account as its reply-to address. Now I have to deal with tons of out of office replies and non-delivery receipts.
(This is not an intrusion into my GMail account. I can easily send an email with your email address as the reply-to address if I want to, using SMTP. I've had to do this as part of my job.)
Why don't grocery stores carry frozen squash/zucchini? I could only find it in a "Mediterranean blend", which is pretty good btw, but not what I wanted. I guess I will shop around.
Gamers should understand the need for lawyers and judges. Bad rule books are probably much better than many laws.
For games that have a game board that comes in a plastic bag, does one put the board back into the bag when putting the game away? Seems like the tight bag might scrape the board when doing that.
I dislike shopping WalMart. But they have such a much better on test strips (blood glucose) than anyone / anywhere else. 30 to 40 cents a strip versus over $1 is a huge difference.
Adventures in iPhone corrections: "Stevie Wonder" ----> "Dye Oreo set". (I missed some letters in Stevie Wonder, but not sure which! cannot reproduce)
Can someone recommend a good book or lecture videos on the USA between Reconstruction and the First Red Scare (1878-1918)? Also world history. Something objective would be nice, although I expect that is hard to find.
New range arrives today! (For the non-domesticated, a range is an oven+burners. That thing you use to cook stuff that doesn't use microwaves and that isn't a fancy toaster.)
