Newest fix didn't do anything for me as far as I can tell. I decided to do some more thorough tests to see if I could find any useful data.
For clarity the nub problem I'm having is the left nub simply doesnt work, no response in the input tester no mouse movement, etc. Right nub works fine...
Tried it. It didn't seem to help on a full boot but it does seem to have made the nub not die after going into powersaving mode.
Is there an easy way to see whether I have a CC Pandora? I think I do but I haven't been following the various production issues closely enough to be certain.
My...
Tried it, didn't help. Also tried rebooting into old kernel to get the nubs working and then saving the config to a different profile then loading that but that also didn't work. Also tried having no SD cards inserted on power up, just to eliminate variables, but that didn't help. And finally...
I've been having the problem since updating to this that the left nub doesn't work(simply doesn't do anything, input tester says it's perfectly stationary in the centre) on boot. However rebooting into the 2.6 kernel fixes it. Then restarting back into the 3.2 kernel keeps the fix until I...
I like it. Though only because I almost never use the nubs but find their position much more comfortable than the dpad and action buttons so I'd love to see the dpad and nubs moved inward like that and don't care what happens to the nubs.
Other. I use:
Gameboy's B = Pandora's X
Gameboy's A = Pandora's B
Gameboy's Start = Pandora's Y
Gameboy's Select = Pandora's A
Basically the current default only with start/select on the top instead of the bottom.
Pandora's start and select buttons are somewhat awkward to hit so I avoid using...
Getting an error trying to install this:
configure: error: pkg-config and glib-2.0 not found, please set GLIB_CFLAGS and GLIB_LIBS to the correct values
ERROR: Configure for pkg-config failed, please check the output above
I know next to nothing about Linux but I think pkg-config and glib-2.0...
Left the Pandora plugged in and unused for a few weeks before reading that you aren't supposed to do that and the battery inflated and bent the battery cover, so I need a new one of each.
Is this covered under warranty? And if not where can I buy some spares of these that will ship to Canada...
I cant extract the full flash version.
7Zip gives: "CRC failed in 'rootfs.img'. File is broken."
Windows 7's default extractor gives: "Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error"
Ubuntu's default extractor gives: "bad CRC 8058df78 (should be 3531cb5a)"
Tried re-downloading it three times and got same...

An unenforced standard is just so much hot air. The portions of the standard most people will comply with will be the things every one agrees on anyway and they will all be implicit and need not be written anywhere. Not that it does any harm I suppose. But the portions people have trouble...
Nope. No point to it in my experience. Anyone who doesn't agree with the standard will ignore it or only comply with the portions of it that they find agreeable or convenient. And even those who agree with it will end up hacking up a half finished solution intending to comply with the standard...
I'd love to know how well you can do a wall jump on Super Metroid with this dpad, or anything else where you have to snap left-right/right-left with out hitting anything else. That's rather difficult with the f-200's direction buttons.
Unless new threads find themselves off the first page within a few hours of posting I see no good reason to subdivide the forums any more than they already are. In fact I'd rather see the opposite. The news section seems pointless and might as well be merged into General talk.
Good guess. The wikipedia article suggests you're right. I wonder why they went with the two tone version in the US & Canada. I always wondered why all the promotional media I saw represented the controller with different button colours than I had.
The only SNES controllers I've seen that actually had 4 different colour buttons were the 3rd party ones. The official Nintendo controllers that I had all had two lavender buttons and two purple ones.
