    Checkinstall?

I came across this article, and was wondering if it would help get more software running on the Pandora. I saw that it has been mentioned here before, but not much was said about it.

Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru Hd, And Penumbra Are Now Open Source!

Actually, considering all the hassles with the PSP the author talked about, it should be a lot easier to work with the Pandora. Just consider what he had to work with and compare:

I can see where PocketISO would come in handy. For instance, LINK REMOVED offers the complete PSX set on only 120 DVD's.

Give It A Credible Ebook Reader And You'll Sell A Ton.

You can also get lots from the Baen Free Library. That, plus my Palm VIIx, has given me many a pleasant hour, whether I'm in bed, on the bus, or just waiting for a 300MB download to finish.

(I was going make a comment here, but, in the spirit of the season and all that, I'll forebear until you have edited your post regarding this open source project. You'll have to forgive me for having a quiet chuckle, though.)

I'm Worried About The Dpad Placement

I've been reading and analyzing this whole issue of gamepad ergonomics, and I have a few observations and conclusions that might be of use to Craig&Co. (I would use their company name, but, AFAIK, they haven't given it. <HINT><HINT><HINT>;)) The original NES controller worked very well, no...

    Poll: Battery Life Target

I wonder if it would be possible to keep track of an application's CPU usage history? That way, you could fairly easily add up the usage of all programs currently running and drop the CPU speed to match that level. I realize that that wouldn't be optimal, as a lot of programs have definite...

    Accelerometer... Is This Possible?

While it would be a cool thing to add, I honestly can't see more than 5% of owners really having a use for it. My old Microsoft Free Style Pro had a two-axis accelerometer in it, and it work great for things like flight simulators and driving games....and that's about it. I'm sure that there...

    Tools For Hardware Rendering

Ah. I thought that you might be talking to him instead of me. OTOH, 1) It's papercraft, not origami. (i.e. motorcycle, not crane.) 2) It's the cheapest, easiest way to hold a 1:1 scale model in your hands to check to see how well it will work. When printed on cardstock, and cardboard glued...

    Tools For Hardware Rendering

It doesn't run well in Wine, true enough, but surely modelers would know somebody with a Windows box that can create a PDF of the papercraft model for uploading.

    Welcome To My Dream

I like the tilt mechanism idea, but how about a slide mechanism? That's two of the main reasons I came up with them: While they hold in place as well as a headphone jack, they both rotate and remove exactly as easily, and they can be made as strong as needed. Heck, even if you break one, you...

    Gather Innovative Ideas Here!

It could easily be incorporated into a HID USB dongle, as all it would need is an ADC & USB interface. As long as it was firmly attached to the main unit, any movement of said unit would register with the accelerometer 1:1.
