    Parrot

Does anyone know if the Parrot VM plays nice with the ARM architecture? It would make the porting of certain things in the future very simple. I read the PLATFORMS note in the 0.8.0 source tarball and it does not mention ARM anywhere. Edit: I just checked the SVN, no info there either.

    Shipping Date: Guessing Game

I was going for December 21st 2012 actually. Hey, those Mayans had to see something big happening in the future right?

    Swgb/aoeii Engine

Edit: Dammit, sorry. Didn't see the 'clone' there. Thought you wanted a port (and rewriting the engine would be fine, but you would have to get your own artwork, as the game's art is under copyright)

    Females

There is are actually a few reasons for this. As to forums, your physical being is unknown, therefore you can be who you want to be Computers and technology are "safe" to a tg mind. They will never reject you or hate you for who you are :( Preop (and more specifically pre horomone)...

    Open-source Games That You Like?

Cube I'll post more when I get the chance. I don't know about Sauerbraten at the moment, but I have been messing around with Cube1 source for a while now. It should be ported as soon as I get me a decent SDK with the Out-O-the-Box libraries (i've been messing around with the Makefile...

    Pandora Code::blocks Setup For Pandora

I think SDL and SDL_* have already been ported, but not really released to the outside world.

What About A Japanese Pandora Community?

Yah, Infantile made a great piece of software there. And the best part is that he open sourced it so it became the base of mutiple flashcart OSes. I am looking forward to see what the Japanese HB scene is going to put in.

    Pandora (among Others) On Linuxinsider.com

It appears that the Linux Insider has done an article about FOSS game systems: QUOTE A New Box The Pandora is an open source portable game console. This compact handheld runs a customized Linux distro in firmware. Its clamshell case is roughly the size of a Nintendo DS. The device sports...

How Much Do You Think You'll Use Your Pandora?

Considering I am selling my DS (+flash cart crap), my Sony Reader (old one), and my soul (I got a great deal from this Tom Cruise fella) to get this thing, I will be using it quite a bit.

    Angstrom

I cannot figure out why there is even a concern for SCIM support. The pandoras were sold in numerous European countries other than GB, surely to a few developers. I would think that SCIM would be a top priority for non-English devs/porters As for the concern that SCIM is somehow tied to OO.org...

    No More Gnashing Of Teeth

I am not seeing the motivation for macromedia (dammit) adobe to port Flash to ARM. There is virtually no possible revenue gain for them, and considering how far along Gnash has come, there would be little point in them creating a 'port'-able version. How much of their userbase could honestly say...

    Will These Headers Be Supported?

I am working on a porting project that uses SDL (for the most part) but also uses the following headers: CODE #include <GL/gl.h> #include <GL/glu.h> #include <GL/glext.h> I know that it will be using OpenGL Es 2.0, but does ES support these? Also, is it safe to assume a quick port of zlib (if...

    Free as in Freedom

That is not the idea. The idea is that GNU and Linux are symbiotes: one cannot survive without the other. Anyway, this is just the preferred name: the (L)GPL allows you to rename the program whatever you want it to be. You may, but many users of GNU/Linux don't.

    Free as in Freedom

I am not so much worried about the support for OGG being included, that is almost a given. My concern is MPEG/MP3, which are both *non-free* being included, as well as the infamous binary blobs that may be needed to support the wifi module.

    Free as in Freedom

I know that for a majority of the users of the Pandora, playing MP3's and watching MPEG's is a given. However, I would like to know if there is any kind of plan to allow the user to remove these from the operating system and replace them with *free* alternatives such as OGG Vorbis and Theora. It...
