I guess I got my Wiz in 2009, and it launched me down a path of re-investment in my classic gaming hobby. I don't use it very often anymore, but it still has a nice clean screen and the battery holds a charge.
As a pure gamer in this community, I was wondering where the energy has gone. The...
This is from a discussion on the AtariAge website, but I thought it would be helpful for Caanoo or Wiz users who weren't familiar with the 2600. Unfortunately, you won't really be able to take much advantage of multiplayer games on the Wiz, but you can still do high score battles if you want ...
Is the connector the same? I have a Wiz and would like to get an extra USB cable someday. Just wondering if the Caanoo cable is the same as that would mean I would be able to pick one of those up and not scour the earth for an old Wiz cable.
Also, I think I remember saying that the connector...
Went to the FCEUX website which directed me to a forum at TASVideos.org. I posted this there, but thought I'd start a thread here too in case someone else had noticed this:
Was playing Metroid and noticed some serious slow-down when I fought Ridley. I popped in my original cart to see if the...
I want to make .bin files of the games I own. I haven't done this in years actually and I'm finding way too many 'guides' online for patching etc. Its hard to know which techniques are worth spending time on.
Is there just a simple way to patch a game from the original CD that I paid $50 for...
Using MAME4All v2.5, I experimented with various settings for NBA Jam. This is a hard game for emulators, but these values seem to work pretty well
WIZ Clock 700Mhz
Sound ON 11KHz fast
I tried clocking the Audio Clock % down while using a higher Khz setting but 11 seemed to be the best at the...
Dunno if anyone has had problems with this but I got the Amiga version of Secret of Monkey Island to work with sound.
1) Unpack .adf files with a tool like ADF Opus
2) Reference the ScummVM wiki for the required files - http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles
3) Copy all of the required...
Having been a C64 kid, I never owned an Amiga. One of my best friends did have one however and it was always something that I wished I'd experienced first hand.
I remember playing DotC with my friend and my eyes popping out of my head. Recently, I got a UAE4All going and ran the DotC rom only...
FYI, I'm new to the Wiz this month
The official site doesn't have download links. FUNGP is all about Caanoo. I'm in N.America, so searching around reveals some overseas sites that have a couple packages for sale.
Is there any other way to get the commercial titles?
Read the readme and read the forums but I can't find a way to do this. In the Readme it does reference a save state folder (/sav) which I created but that didn't change anything.
Has anyone figured out how to do this?
Sorry for the longish post. I just got the Wiz this week and even though it is no longer being manufactured, it is exciting to see the developers on this forum who are involved in dev competitions and actually responding to posts about emulation etc. Hopefully those who are involved in Pandora...
