    snes roms

It's really strange how tenacious this false information sticks to people's minds. That 5 year thing is of course complete bullshit. Abandonware means, as the name implies, that the developer has _abandoned_ his software, not that it was taken from him in any way, because some time span was...

    Matrix: Reloaded?

I was kinda disappointed by the movie. Although I loved the first, my expectations weren't too high for this one. Most action sequences seemed dull and meaningless to me... loads of unspectacular wire kung-fu scenes, in which you never got the feeling that the blows could actually hurt...

    Renaming the Trash?

My trash is called "Papierkorb" too... I have no problem with it. It's just german. :)

    Best TOS for compatibility?

I use 1.02 and DM works just fine. 1.02 is definitely the way to go, unless you have some specific problems with it.

    Boards so busy now

Connect to comp? Most things still beta? That's exactly what makes the GP32 interesting! Weak points... pff! :)

    Scared about your GP32?

I'm more worried about it getting damaged or break somehow. I'm worried about the buttons and the stick, since they seem like they would break easy, and I'm worried about the screen getting scratches.

    GP32 joypad?

I already have problems with my B-button. My GP32 is just 3 weeks old, and I was handling it extremely careful. I don't know what happened, perhaps some little clip inside broke or detached, like other GP32 users already reported. The button first started to feel different than the A-Button...

    GP32 joypad?

I've never seen a NG Pocket, but yes, the GP32 joypad is rather a joystick. I was surprised about this when I got mine, but now I have to admit that I prefer it over the GBA D-Pad. Not so the buttons which are manufactured with a noticeably worse quality than the GBA buttons...

Why did you buy a GP32?

    two words: geek factor! ;)

    Castaway/GP 009 Released!

Once again quality work, Jeff! I praise you for the safestate feature... but the new castaway icon is nifty too! ;)

How old are people on this board?

I think that's this new generation of so called Indigo-Kids... With 5 years I barely knew how to use the TV remote control. On second thought, our TV didn't even have one. :) I guess I'm an outdated model...

How old are people on this board?

That's really interesting.... I thought there would be more people in my age group, around 20-25 years. But it seems like the GP32 is attracting more mature users, probably technically even more adept than I thought.. 25-35 year old guys don't look for a schoolground toy, but rather for a tech...

How old are people on this board?

I'm 21... probably quite the average. But I'm more interested in the "extremes", since I'm always astonished to see 11 year old guys posting in this board.

How old are people on this board?

What's the mean age on this board? Who is the youngest, who is the oldest GP32 fan here? Edit: Sorry 31-34ers, I made a mistake with the poll answers.

Are GP32 users long time gamers?

chronologically: GB, hardwired Pong, Atari ST, Megadrive, NES, lotsa PCs, GP32, and today I'm gonna buy a "next gen" console. Don't know which one, either a GC or Xbox. Which would you recommend?

    Pets?

@Axeman: I thought Persians were carpets? I'm not allowed to hold pets in my flat... But there is a bird outside my bedroom window who imitates my wake-up call at 4:15 in the morning. <_<

    Whats better, Cheddar or Swiss?

@rcx: Ah... like my dad. :) I just thought I tell you, since you were closer to German (Parmesan) than to Italian. (Parmigiano).

It's always such a thing with tech humor... it's not everybodys cup of tea. ;)

    Most Wanted Emulator?

@kitsune: What's the problem? VirtuaLeech was obviously just joking. @Mofokubik: Well, there were also _some_ games which looked better on AtariST than on Amiga, but their share was vanishing low. I was a Sega fan, but let's face it, after 1993 the MD was looking very old compared with the...
