That 3D Rally Demo looks just like Carmaggedon for the PC... Kickass. Wouldn't mind seeing a Carmaggedon mod for it. *Nod* Gentlemen, start your killing machines.

What about Kojima, Miyamoto, Mizuguchi, the Panzer Dragoon guy, Will Wright...

There are still personalities.

Sorry, I meant new personalities  . Miyamoto is OldSkool and so don't count.

Mizuguchi, all I can think of him doing thats classic is Sega Rally, which is OldSkool anyway.

I haven't heard of 'the Panzer Dragoon guy'?

AFAIK the only games Will Wrights done that IMHO can be considered classics are the Sim City series.

All I can find on Kojima doing is the metal gear solid series, which many gamers who haven't played any of them, including myself and many other gamers, wont know.
-----------
Looking at two personalities and legends of the past and their classic games:

Peter Molyneux:
Populous - God Sim
Syndicate - Not sure what genre
Theme Park - Management
Magic Carpet - Shoot 'em up

The Bitmap Brothers:
Xenon II - vertical shoot 'em up
Speedball II - sports sim
Gods - platformer
Chaos Engine - top down shoot 'em up

Both lists have a wide variety of game genres in them, each a classic. There is very few gamers of the time that didn't have at least one of them games from each list.

So, leaving out Miyamoto, IMHO, the new developers mentioned can't (well at this point in time anyway) be put in the same league as oldskool developers such as Peter Molyneux and The Bitmap Brothers.
