Am I Too Late?

That is a big problem with the GP2X-Linux.
That stuff is bad shit, its like stepping back in time to pre windows days...

I'm planning on holding out until software is actually available for the GP2X before I commit- I must also investigate other consoles like the gizmondo, psp and ds to see how they are doing for emulation.

Huh? You crazy or what?
Linux works fine for most apps, easy to port, easy to use.

And if you have an app which needs full processing power, you can simply code that it runs without using Linux (like on the GP32).

Linux is just an OS for the gp2x, you don't need to use that OS.
Linux also exists for the GP32, so it's no different... except for that Linux now is supported officially.

The core of the system is U-Boot, which can boot anything you want, not only Linux.

I'm thinking, the command prompt confuses him. (It did confuse me, during my short adventure in the world of penguins. But X worked fine, one really didn't need to touch the text-based interface, if one is a basic user.)

Maybe someone could tell him, that the Windows is, how was it, 32bit patch for a 16bit hack of an 8bit, text-based OS?
