At this moment we got 3 4 appstore's (as far as I know).
Isn't this a little to much, can't they just work together?
Because now some apps we be at the file archive and others at the Pandora apps site.

Open Handhelds file archive:
http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi

Pandora apps:
http://apps.open-pandora.org/

The box: (test)
http://dflemstr.dyndns.org:8088/

PDRoms Pandora: (Yet another one)
http://pdroms.de/files/pandora/

It gets me confused...

I pretty much only use the app store. Going forward i think this is the direction things are heading. If that means, for the time being, that I have to wait an extra few days for he latest apps, I don't really mind.

I'm quite tempted by The Box, because it lists version numbers.

Imo there should be some kind of centralized repository where users can upload their PND's ... kinda something like Arch User Repository. And with a nice tool like pacman or yaourt to install and update PND's. Yes, I like ArchLinux :D

With freedom comes chaos and uncertainty I'm afraid. Just growing pains at the moment.

I vote for the PND system, but some sort of reliable and informative source needs to be established. Everything outside it is the wild west, for gunslingers.

That or we can use this thing I heeard about called DRM. Hey... maybe OpenPandora could recoup their costs by charging developers to upload software and have it cryptographically signed?

I'm a genius! I knew it!

And the appstores could just be some kind of portal to those files.
